My mom and I had such a wonderful experience at Agapi! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel right at home.
The lamb chops were absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. This dish tasted authentic and was beautifully prepared. You can really tell that a lot of LOVE “Agapi” goes into the cooking here.
The restaurant itself is clean, cozy, and perfect for a relaxing meal with family or friends. It’s the kind of place where you want to sit, enjoy your food, and take your time.
Agapi is truly a hidden gem, and I’m so glad we found it. I’ll definitely be coming back again soon. Highly recommend to anyone looking for amazing Greek food and great hospitality!

This place was amazing. We discovered this place from Rahway’s Soup stroll. And it was not a disappointment.
It’s a small mom & pop’s style, so they do their best to accommodate their customers. I just love their decorations and mini gifts at the door. I didn’t feel out of place. I felt very welcome.
This place was clean, friendly and the price was right; Had their soup speciality, lamb chops and dessert cheese cake baklava. OMG! Delicious !

Thoughtful creative food, presented beautifully. Enjoyed the meal on a quiet Wednesday night. Drinks were also delicious. Our server was enthusiastic and pleasant however, I wish they did not wear a mask during our service. It was difficult to communicate and hear clearly and was quite distracting. I thought it really lowered the overall dining experience.

We came to try the soup but then also got some baklava to take home with us. The gentleman who served my husband and I was incredibly kind and friendly, the baklava was absolutely delicious and had just been made. Additionally, the augolemono soup was scrumptious! The orzo was tender, the broth was creamy and well seasoned.

I visited here for the first time and was very happy with the overall experience. I order the pork platter, which came with 2 pork skewers, pita, fries, side a tzatziki and side salad. The food was delicious, tasted so fresh and was under $20. The orange cake was very citrusy and a nice light dessert to share. The atmosphere was open and clean and the service was great. Glad this new Greek spot opened in my town!

We were traveling through the area from out of state and stopped here. What a delightful gem! The owners are so genuinely excited about sharing their restaurant with us. After finishing our meal, the chef came out to our table and personally introduced himself. The other restaurant owner is a lovely Greek woman, who loves the Greek culture of hospitality and enjoys sharing it with her guests. We were so blown away by how incredible the food was and how friendly and hard-working the restaurant staff was! We came on Valentine’s Day and the restaurant was decorated beautifully! We were pleasantly surprised that the prices were so reasonable- we had expected high prices due to the location. We each ordered a Greek salad with chicken, and the flavors were fresh and satisfying. The chicken soup was also very flavorful, and the fresh bread and olive butter was phenomenal! Agapi means love, and that is surely present here!

I cannot recommend Agapi highly enough. We were faced with a potential disaster when an impending snowstorm threatened to cancel my daughter’s baby shower scheduled for Sunday. Since my daughter lives out of state and had to leave shortly after, canceling meant she wouldn’t have a shower at all.
In a moment of high stress, the team at Agapi stepped up with incredible empathy and professionalism. On very short notice, they managed to:
• Reschedule the entire event: They moved us from Sunday to Saturday without hesitation, rearranging their restaurant layout to make it work.
• Create a beautiful atmosphere: The space was organized perfectly and the tables were set with lovely runners that made the event feel truly special.
• Provide a feast: Beyond the service, the food was absolutely delicious and incredibly plentiful. Every guest left raving about the meal!
The staff was remarkably friendly and truly understood the emotional weight of the situation. They didn’t just “fit us in”—they made us feel like a priority. Because of their flexibility and kindness, my daughter got to celebrate this milestone before heading home.

It is worth the almost 45 minutes drive. Not only is the food delicious, made fresh but I have family members that have food allergies and they have no problem and love to eat here. So, yes there can make accommodations for anyone.
The service is amazing. Makes you feel like your VIP at a fine dining venue. The waiter insisted that he help me seat my two ladies at the table. That gesture is something you don’t experience too much of nowadays. Even in high end vents. Staff is knowledgeable on the menu items and can easily explain what is if you’re not clear about it. You may even get to actually talk with the owners and chef, as they make it their mission to insure your time they is spent well.

Come with family, friends, make it a business dinner (I have), date night, celebrate a milestone or just want to have good food. This is definitely a must visit.
