I came hungry and left hungry. Really 2 potatoes with a tiny piece of steak, mostly mushrooms…and my veggies were rock hard not steamed at all. I didn’t like the sauce on the plate and the dinner roll is clearly tiny! I am not happy and won’t be back. I love trying new places and we travel allot but this place ruined it completely to come back!

Where do I start. We went into the Virginia, MN location with a large group and were the only people in the place. Waitress started out by saying “I need to go in back and have a couple shots to deal with this group.” Ordering went ok. There were a couple servers helping us. Whe the main server started taking orders were gave her jersey numbers to keep track of who was with who. She did not keep track of that, in fact told us it is easier for her to figure out bills after the food comes out. We sat with empty plates for at least 20 minutes before our kids got up and left. When a parent finally went up and asked for the bill there was no orders, it was all placed on 1 check. After 10 minutes of trying to figure it out our parent just paid the whole bill. Because the server couldn’t do her job correctly a parent had to shell out over $700 to cover it so we could get to the game. Horrible horrible attitude bu the tattooed server.

Food was what you would expect from a place like this. Consensus was average. Some people had really good food, others had some not so good.

Parking was difficult and walk ways were not cleared or salted. Again this is northern MN so ypu expect some of this, but not glare ice and snow ruts.

The atmosphere was not bad. Again what you would expect. Place was empty on a Saturday at noon, maybe that should have been a sign.

As I left I told the waitress maybe next time use the numbers. She basically said go somewhere else. 100% i will never take a group to this place. If the server with arm and chest tattoos is working I don’t recommend this place.

Sometimes when you walk into a place at lunchtime and it is empty that might be a clue.

Bartender even apologized for her coworkers attitude. Cooks did a good job getting the food out quickly. Some drinks were refilled regularly others were not.

Minus the checkout hassle and server attitude it was just ok.

It had been many years, since I tried this restaurant. I wasn’t impressed then, and after giving it a shot again the other evening, it is safe to say I won’t be back.

The two people I came with ordered the prime rib special of the day. They were severely overcooked and tasted rotten. The tiny dinner roll it came with was rock hard. The server was gracious about it and replaced it with a different order. The plain cheeseburger and wings were edible, but nothing to brag about.

I ordered the Tex-Mex salad. It had a “corn and bean relish” and I believe “Cajun spiced pecans” with a ranch dressing. The relish was literally a few pieces of corn and black beans. No seasoning at all to it. Couldn’t tell the pecans were seasoned. Just a ranch salad with some beans and corn in it with a cut up chicken strip.

It wasn’t busy, yet the food and drinks seemed to take a while. We were the only people sitting in the bar aside from a couple people belly-up.

I am not sure how this place stays open, but it is a beautiful building. The atmosphere is probably one of the best in the area. I wish the food matched. If the menu and pride in the food would get revamped, it would be nice to consider it an option again among the few restaurants Virginia has.

Hands down one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. We sat at Adventures Restaurant for over 15 minutes, completely ignored. Not one employee came over to greet us, bring menus, or even offer a drink. The servers were literally sitting around on their phones, looked right at us multiple times, and still chose to ignore us. It was unbelievable. The place wasn’t even busy, so there’s absolutely no excuse for that kind of lazy, unprofessional behavior. We finally got up and walked out — and honestly, we’re glad we did. We went to Cazadores instead and had excellent service, friendly staff, and amazing food. Adventures could learn a thing or two from them. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere that actually values its customers.

Me and my son stopped for lunch recently and really enjoyed the experience. Great staff, very good food, timely service. My son had the trout, which he loved and I had the burger with bourbon sauce(???) of some sort. Both were excellent. I will return on my next trip through.

We made a reservation for 5 and a baby and they didnt have that set up told us to seat ourselves. Took the waitress 10 min to greet us and took another 8 min to get us drinks and than took her 30 minutes to take our food order. Monday night there was 3 other tables sat and we ordered drinks waited long enough to the point we went up to the bartender to get us our drinks. We watched them turn away a table of 10 people walking in while we were the only table along with the 5 people at the bar. The server didnt show up to our table again until she brought our appetizers. The food was absolutely horrible she messed up a shrimp Alfredo with the shrimp Diane, the burgers had rotten lettuce on them, the steak tasted like straight salt and was cooked way over medium. The pork chop was cooked way too done. The server again never checked on us until she gave us the check. The grasshoppers were good along with the bartender. Get better cooks and servers would rather eat at McDonalds and we infact did after we left. Not the “Adventure” we were expecting

I ordered the London Broil from the menu. It came thinly sliced (1/4″+) and topped with mushrooms. A baked potato and mixed vegetables (fresh green beans and sliced carrots). A nice dinner salad was included as well. The steak was cooked to temp as I ordered it. Nice light seasonings and very tender. A very nice portion and served with a cup of au jus. Small dinner roll topped off the plate. For $18.99 this was very much worth it!!! Great service as always here.

First time visiting this restaurant and we all decided to get a different menu item and share it. I got the chicken fried chicken. First, it was way overcooked and not enough gravy. Bread was dry. Vegetables were just steamed. Absolutely no flavor added. Second menu item was the Wisconsin burger. Burger was juicy, but it also had no flavor. Completely bland. Third menu item was the Jack Daniel’s pork chops. Bland as well. It had this delicious juice at the bottom of the plate but not enough. What they should do is cook the porkchop in that juice slowly.
I am completely in shock with the reviews stating that the food here was excellent. It was far from excellent. The waitresses were very kind. We did have to wait for our forks and napkins for about 10 minutes, and that was because we got up and asked for it. We ended up getting just one napkin each. Sadly, we will not be visiting this restaurant again.

We had the meatloaf and the teriyaki chicken. Both were very good. The brownie sundae was great but beware that it comes with 3 scoops of ice cream. Yummy!!! And the bartender knew hot to make a vodka dirty martini – bonus!
