We stopped here for lunch on our drive home. It was a Wednesday at about noon. We were quickly seated and had prompt service from a very sweet member of the waitstaff named Presley. My family and I had various lunch choices and all were delicious. Would definitely stop again!

Had bleu cheese burger it was ok definitely have had better. Service was friendly quick prices were comparable or average. I should say went at 3 PM which was happy hour to for one not that I drink, but the person I was with did. They had the chicken fried chicken, which was OK in their opinion.

My friend and I walked in the door at 6:17 pm and the waitress said they were closing in a half an hour. I asked her if we were going to get kicked out in a half an hour or could we finish our meal before leaving. She said we were OK as long as we ordered within a half an hour. The older lady lady said everything…bar and restaurant was shutting down in a half an hour. It was like the older lady didn’t want us sitting down. We walked out, very confused.

Terrible dirty silverware, ordered a salad with chicken, hardly any chicken, brown lettuce, about 3 slices of olives, feta wasn’t found charged more for the salad than a burger. Wouldn’t recommend at all! You’d think after showing the waitress my brown lettuce and lack of the extras that should have been in the salad they would have offered to bring me additions or compensate me, but no actually had a surcharge added even though we paid cash. Don’t go here!

Having service that is above and beyond now at least the second time, it is time to put it on the Web. After being politely greeted by our server;while utilizing my own visual memory, It once again verified that a sporty, comfortable atmosphere; along with laid back staff can actually be just what I needed to unwind after a long day. Beverages were filled, food was hot and acceptable. Uncertain of the multiple up charges. Typical dinner conversations. Table service was great, even an offer to fill my beverage before I left. I even ran into a couple folks I’ve seen recently. I do feel the server was a bit overloaded, considering there were plenty of people on their phones and not helping.

I won’t be back. I ate here this last June. The A/C wasn’t working so the dining room was hot, the servers were sweaty, and the menu prices were very high for the offerings. For $18 dollars I got frozen veggies a morsel of steak (like 4 oz) and average fries. It would seem you have to spend $35 plus for a normal sized meal here. There are better places to eat.

It was our first time in Virginia, Minnesota. We went to Adventures Restaurant for Dinner. We asked for beer. The waitress presented us with 4 beers. We told her, we would like one beer at a time. She said, it is happy hour, and we serve double the order. I told her, we would like to drink beer, not inhale it. Please hold the extra in the fridge. We immediately felt she was annoyed with us, when we explained that we have been to hundreds of happy hours, and nobody has ever dumbed a double order of alcohol. Throughout the dinner, she largely ignored us, and brought the bill while we were still eating dinner, even though we told her, may want to have dessert. When we examined the bill, we noticed that she charged us the normal rate for our drinks. My husband signaled to her that we had questions about the bill. What she did was circumventing our table. Finally when she showed up, I confronted her with her attitude, and the fact she was inhospitable. Her response, “I am busy, and my manager told me what I should do.” I explained to her as a person working in the hospitality industry, least you could do, explain how your restaurant operates in Virginia, Minnesota, and be responsive to our questions, unless this is how Minnesotans treat people who visit from other states.

This has been an off week for service in general it seems for most places we have been. That being said the service was not poor but left room for improvement. The food was excellent. The steak was done exactly as requested with great flavor. The lobster was delicious. The server was pleasant. We were checked on enough to have what we needed but not so much that we were bothered. Our ticket had charges for items we did not order or receive so that had to be corrected. We waited for longer than seemed reasonable for our server to come back to pick up the payment after the check was placed on the table but an apology for the wait was given. 4 out of 5 because it was not excellent but it was good. We will go back again.
