Adobo Boy is a Filipino-American, family-owned restaurant in Grand Rapids, named after our son Redd — the ultimate adobo fan. We serve authentic Filipino cuisine rooted in tradition, hospitality, and community.
We first opened on December 1, 2023 as a ghost kitchen, which closed in March 2025. After operating a food truck and taking a leap of faith, we opened our current brick-and-mortar location on December 1, 2025 and are currently in a soft opening phase.
Our rotating menu features classic Filipino dishes. Lunch offers rice bowls, dinner provides a full Filipino dining experience, and Saturdays feature Filipino breakfast. We also host Kamayan Feasts by reservation and monthly community gatherings.
We treat our guests are like family.

I had lunch at Adobo Boy today and I’m already planning my next visit. The pork adobo was tender and full of rich, savory flavor, and the lumpia was crispy and so satisfying. Everything tasted homemade in the best way. What truly stood out though was the hospitality. The owners were unbelievably kind and made us feel so welcome. It’s rare to find food this good paired with people this genuine. I’ll definitely be back soon.

A stellar, quintessential Filipino dining experience. The food, service, and atmosphere is like being invited over to a close Filipino friend’s house for dinner. The hospitality of everyone working there makes you feel like you are truly a guest of honor. I will return and support them for as long as they’re around. I wish them the absolute best and hope they’re around for many many more years.

Adobo Boy delivers on amazing food, atmosphere, and service. The dining area is beautiful and well lit, and the owner Ace goes out of his way to make sure every diner feels welcome. The adobo bowls are absolutely delicious. We tried the pancit bihon lunch as well which was cooked to perfection. The veggies are sauced well and provide an awesome crunch with the noodles that come in it. We also tried their lemonade, and it’s super refreshing! We’ve learned something new about Filipino culture every time we’ve dined in so far, and we look forward to learning a lot more. We are definitely going to be regulars here!

Seven of us went for dinner on my BDay dinner here. Everybody loved what they had and we all kind of shared. I had the beef, amazing, and also tried the chicken and pork. Wings and spring rolls were great also. We all loved it. Very warm and inviting. Felt like an extension of our kitchen at home and I can not say enough positive about our experience. Will be back

Absolutely amazing food, service, people and experience. Ace and Jackie are incredibly generous and kind humans and it is such a pleasure every time to eat their food and learn more about their culture. The adobo bowls are fantastic, and the meat is so tender. And the wings with the sour dry rub are so good!! And they have other additional menu items that rotate every two weeks, and give us a chance to learn more about Filipino food and culture.
Such a gem we have in Northview now!

We stumbled across this gem and had a great impromptu date night. Food, service and atmosphere were all 10/10. I recommend the Ube soda or the dragon fruit soda.
