Since Abu Omar Halal’s humble beginnings as Houston’s first and only halal food truck, we have proudly grown our brand into a fleet of food trucks and restaurants located across the country. Abu Omar Halal serves a variety of halal street food and sandwiches, but we are best known for our signature chicken shawarma. Stop by a location nearest you to try the shawarma that started it all!

We ordered Italian with fries, Arabi with fries and 2 Sandwiches.. The food is so delicious, I didn’t expect that, specially that I’m coming from an Arabic country so I’m a bit picky with Arabic food, but Abu Omar Halal is another level.. I literally enjoyed till the last bite.. the food is enough and satisfying..

I love this place. I’ve passed by it many times and always wanted to try it I just returned back from California and oh my God. You would think living in California they have the best food wrong! I could not find a decent gyro anywhere. But when we got back to Oklahoma I decided to stop at this truck and get a gyro quesadilla it cost $15 but let me tell you it is so worth it. The food is delicious.

Went to Abu Omar halal from Oklahoma city downtown for lunch. The food was nice but not as expected based on our previous experience from the Houston location. They served with plain rice, which was unexpected

This place is so good. We stopped here tonight for the first time, and ordered a Gyro, Falafel sandwich, fries, 2 Kibba, and some Baklava. If you don’t try it, you are missing out!

Never had a bad meal or met anyone here who didn’t give 110% in everything they do! They should give master classes in consistency! Great job y’all!

This is the second time I have had their gyro in the past two weeks. The first time it was amazing, this last time it was good but not amazing.

So this is a sauce lovers paradise. For the quesadilla it was almost as if they ran out of cheese and covered it up with the creamy garlic instead. When asked if I could get the spicy garlic sauce on the shwarma he said he could just put a cup in the bag. Dipping is not the same as having it on but I’m to easy going to insist on a request like that the first time, rather allowing the chef creation to stand as he would prepare it. As prepared it was typical of the genre, but reminds the old adage just because it comes from a truck doesn’t make it better.
