Pork tamale was good and tacos need more meat but the ground beef has great flavor:: Edit so I went back and as the pictures show The Super fries the nachos and surf and turf burrito was all amazing

The woman was hard to hear over the speaker but she was so friendly. This place is a run do not walk. Amazing food! I had the Surf and Turf burrito with added cheese. Really good. Careful with their salsa. Some of them can be really hot. Overall, amazing food and their burritos are huge!

This Mexican food is awesome. I was born and raised in San Diego, CA!! Right next to the boarder. And I know all to well about Mexican food. Best in town and else where! Large portions and top quality ingredients. I’m so glad they picked Excelsior Springs.

What these kids say these days? That food was “BUSS’N” and the prices were right too. This joint will do well here. Very satisfied with the quality of the food. Staff was friendly too. 5 STARS!

BruuuuhThis place is amazing! Honestly one of the best Mexican food places I have ever had. While the drive thru line takes a bit, its worth it when you get the quality of the food. And the Cashier girl is so nice. The Pricing might seem like much until you see how much you get. I got an almost foot long burrito for only 13$ (not counting tax). I’ve gotten their food for lunch for the past 3 days.

Food is good, mostly priced accordingly, some things are little more than they should be but mostly its fine. I’ve been to other Abelardo’s many times. The problem here is they are stingy with their salsa. We call this “Berto’s style” Mexican back home. I have been to 150+ different Mexican restaurants, taquerias, etc. in the southwest and Mexico and they are the most stingy with their salsa I have ever experienced. I have already eaten food from this location a few times and when I ask for extra salsa they barely give any. The last time I went, with who I went with we ordered 3 combos, plus 3 a la carte items among us, and even when we asked for extra salsa they still only gave us 6 little salsa cups which aren’t even full that if you poured together would probably barely be 2oz of salsa among us. I was really looking forward to this Abelardo’s, unfortunately if they won’t give a reasonable amount of salsa, which I need to top a giant entree of carne asada fries for example, I can’t keep coming here. For someone who grew up eating Mexican everyday, it’s essential. I’ve made dozens of kinds of salsas from scratch in my life, I know one of those little cup worths isn’t worth more than a couple cents especially when made in bulk.
