Wonderful Southern Cuisine! Great flavors!! LOVED the fatback strips which took me back to my childhood memories of MaMaw’s cooking!! There was field peas, turnip greens, homemade SOUTHERN macaroni and cheese, green beans, mashed potatoes with brown or sawmill gravy, broccoli or squash casseroles, fried chicken, fried catfish, salad bar, apple cobbler, varieties of cake slices and all the sweet tea you could want (my cup was continuously filled)!!!

My family and I went recently for the first time and had a wonderful experience. The staff is super friendly and the prices were very reasonable. Food was fantastic with lots of options. The collard greens are delicious and when paired with their in house made hot sauce it is really something else. We will definitely be back!

I highly recommend this place! I was pleasantly impressed with the home cooking that was available on the buffet which consists of fried and baked chicken, fried pork chops, ham, candied yams, mac n cheese, collard greens so tasty that you can’t help but to dream about them. Black eyed peas, pinto beans, green beans, rice and gravy, mashed potatoes, creamed corn, fried okra, cornbread dressing, fish, a salad bar, and dessert bar. The drinks are included in the price. Ive been twice and I haven’t been let down yet. The atmosphere is very family oriented with a staff full of smiles. You are guaranteed to run into someone that you know while eating. I’m going back to try out their breakfast bar in a few weeks. The restaurant is very popular, but we were still seated quickly.

I had rode by this restaurant many times but it wasn’t a good time to stop. Well today we stopped now I’m mad at myself for not going sooner. It’s probably a good thing that I don’t live closer because I would be there on a daily basis. The place was clean which is a must for me plus a friendly staff. Now about the food I really can’t explain how good everything was. My husband and I sat there and talked about this was cooking like our mothers and grandmother’s cooked. Usually at a buffet I might find two or three items that I like well I can promise you I liked everything! Our waitress was precious I wish I knew her name but I don’t. We live in Chesnee but I can promise you we will be going back to A Taste of Home because that’s exactly what it is!

Food is great. We enjoy eating there. Kind of don’t like the layout of the food tables, no organization. Can’t get a good flow because so broken up people roaming around in and out so it is hard to get a plate of food. The layout in the Lauren’s location works better.

I am not sure if I came on a Bad day, But my experience of A Taste of Home , Depends on whose Home you are tasting from.. I heard that it was a wonderful Place to eat and the food was Good, But as I approached the buffet Bar I immediately noticed that the food did not look fresh at all , the sweet potato casserole looked dried out, the fish was barely warm and had Minimum season. Not to mention the other dishes.. So I must say I did Try it but I will not be returning to this establishment. I Hope this helps someone else to save their money . Thank you $10.99 + tax and I am still Hungry.

We brought my mother with us and all 4 of us really enjoyed ourselves. The staff was very friendly and the chef made everyone feel welcomed. Our family have found our favorite restaurant and highly recommend it to anyone.
