Ended up here 2 nights in a row due to the food and beer selection.
The first night I had the Atomic Burger and wings. The burger was solid, cooked well and I appreciated the raw jalapeños on top. For wings, I went with their house sauces, the Dream Weaver and Rigor Mortis. Both great sauces and the wings were cooked nicely.
The second night I just got wings, Dream Weaver and Death Rattle. Those Death Rattle wings…wow. I love hot foods but these were on another level. This was admittedly a little disappointing since their house hot sauce is not really hot at all and these were off the charts.
They have a solid selection of beer, around 20 taps. Staff was eager to pour samples which was nice with so many. Beers were around $9-$11 per pint, which felt expensive in my opinion.

We got spinach dip and chicken sandwiches one night
Then wings, the pulled pork mac, and onion soup the next night.
They have amazing homemade fun sauces. Prices are great!
DRINKS: were delicious we got beer, vodka baybreezes, and cosmo shots that came in beaker shot glasses and were so cute!
ATMOSPHERE: was SO COOL and felt like a home town spot to go and also for visitors.
STAFF: They were all so friendly and welcoming and went above and beyond to answer any questions or give recommendations and make us comfortable!
Very quick service and absolutely loved it here would return and reccomend!

We were hungry hippos after shopping at the Woodbury Commons shopping center all day and an informative young gentleman (hello Anthony!) at the Tods store recommended this restaurant. Literally minutes away from the shopping center, this place was more like “Cheers” than a restaurant. Plenty of tables were available at 8:30 on a Saturday night, but the bar was full to capacity. Our server Justin was affable and knowledgeable about the menu. We quickly ordered the French onion soup, a black and blue burger (bacon and blue cheese) and a brisket burger. A house stout and a gingery cider accompanied our meal. Saturday night is also karaoke night here and some pretty talented folks performed their hearts out. Good food, good music, good vibes. An excellent place to enjoy a Saturday night.

My family and I had an amazing time. Our bartender/server was extremely cool and made us feel like a family: super welcomed! The food was absolutely delicious and the music certainly contribute to our positive and great experience. Everything here was perfect!

We went at a weird time, 4:30 PM, so naturally we were the only customers there. Our waiter was attentive & friendly. The food was fine, but not spectacular. I ordered a bean burger with Gouda, & I couldn’t taste much of the cheese at all. My husband had the cowboy burger & said it was serviceable. The fries were crispy & slightly burnt, but we didn’t mind. For the two of us, two burgers, and a beer, we spent about $40 with tip. Overall it was a nice experience for hungry people who wanted a burger.

The place is deceivingly modest on the outside. Inside it is filled with life and good vibes.
We went as a family with two kids and had a great time. We even got to play some darts.
Music isn’t too loud and staff is incredibly helpful and friendly.
Buffalo chicken rangoons, burgers and sliders are great. Mac and Cheese and spinach dip are just ok.
Will go back to try the vegan options which looked amazing.

Best community bar in the Hudson valley! Friendly staff, amazing owner who cares about her customers, service & the experience!! The culture here is grounded & welcoming! Annie is festive & celebrated every American holiday & tradition by decorating the bar! Halloween & Xmas decorations are top tier! The food is to die for, especially the wings & burgers!! After gazing around the Central Valley/Woodbury area, coming across “A Better Place Bar & Grill” was a total success! This fine establishment offers authentic American food for the entire family. The place itself is tidy and well-kept, not to mention their lively bar and music. Clean bathrooms and ample parking out front are available. I was thrilled to see the amount of plant based options that they had to offer as well. Our waiter Jake was very polite and helpful when asking for recommendations! He attended us within seconds of being seated, while staying on top of all of our needs. I ended up ordering the Vegan Wings with their creamy plant based blue cheese which was absolutely DELICIOUS! I will definitely be back to make my way around their diverse menu and experience the true American dream!

I came to this restaurant/local bar for the first time yesterday and I’m so glad I did! The server was friendly and incredibly accommodating. He checked up on us throughout our meal and attended to all of our needs in a timely manner. The food was beyond delicious and affordable. I will definitely be returning again soon and highly recommend giving them a visit!
