From the atmosphere to the food to the service, it was like they had somehow perfected their service before even opening. Everyone was very friendly, the food was unique and very tasty. The atmosphere is quaint but high end. It’s hidden perfectly in a neighborhood in Key West. The executive chef truly shows his talent with each dish! The airline chicken and the Brussels Sprouts were definitely my favorite! I can’t wait to go back to try something new from their diverse menu!
No one was here when we arrived around 5:30, we got our pick of seats. Our server was nice. We tried to brie and nuts on happy hour as well as the mussels, both good! The Brie was very small, I understand it was HH and ‘cheap’ but it was the size of a babybel cheese lol.
Our entrees are what I really had the problem and what is going to keep me from coming back.
My out of town guests both ordered the lobster Alfredo, my husband ordered the duck, and I got a ribeye special for the evening. My guests enjoyed their lobster Alfredo but we had jokes about this restaurant being one of those that you’re still hungry afterward and we were right. Their pasta included a tin of lobster which was great but not a lot of noodles. My husband enjoyed his duck but my bite of his was very soggy. My steak looked like it had been put on the grill cold as it looked like maybe it had been boiled and then set of the grill just for the grill marks. Disappointing.
We also got dessert, key lime pie and molten cake with gelato. The molten cake was yummy but our key lime pie….i think they forgot to add the lime juice to it. There was absolutely no lime flavor at all to it. Very disappointed by that as key lime pie is my fav! Anyway, I’d prob look for another place for dinner and save some money, thank goodness they had a locals discount when we attended.
The outside atmosphere was very nice and I’ll definitely be back to visit the beautiful bar.
Btw…our server Agnus was awesome❤️
Beet salad our friends loved, I’m not a beet person but it wasn’t bad.
I had Grilled Pork Chop Au Poivre for my main course
It was outstanding cooked to perfection.
My husband had fresh catch of the day, Mahi, Mahi
So good.
Our friends had Maine Lobster Roll Alfredo, which they both enjoyed.
Denny in the bar made the best Martinis
Will definitely be back.
The food:
For the appetizer we had hummus and artichoke. It was nice. 4 pieces on the order.
Two of us had the beet salad. It had beets, it had radicchio and onions. It had no dressing. The radicchio is incredibly bitter. It needed a dressing to help with the bitterness and complement the beets.
One of us had the grilled peach Buratta salad. That was a home run.
For the meals:
The pork chop – the chop itself was cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes were good, the sauce was so salty that it completely stole the show from the pork chop. Also, the green beans were undercooked.
The short ribs were tender and acceptable.
The scallops and shrimp were not as good as I had hoped for. The shrimp had tails on, if I’m paying $50 for a dish I expect to do no work to prep it for consumption. The shrimp were over cooked making them tough. The scallops were done nicely, however they had little flavor or seasoning. The cauliflower pancetta mash was good; however, it wasn’t quite the right pairing for this dish. It was like mashed potatoes with shrimp. How often do you eat seafood with mashed taters?
For the money there are many better choices in Key West in my opinion.
We tried the chicken teriyaki which was delicious. The spinach rice is really tasty.

Flourless chocolate with cherries , added ice cream , incredible with some Amaro
Delish!
