What a treat!!! Chose the steak and chicken combo. They first serve you soup and salad. soup was a bit bland but good. Salad dressing was delicious.
They then serve you fried rice and noodles . Plus stir fried veggies. A few shrimps were also included. Next is the meat. All were delicious and if course entertaining to watch it being prepared. Had a Japanese beer . Very good as well.
Also tried the fried ice cream . Very good too.
Place is small , packed and beyond over stimulating with the noise and close quarters.
I’m not hard to please but this one was rough for me .
I will say 10 stars to the friendly attentive bigger gentleman (host?), he was wonderful!
First, the good – dumplings and shumai were very good! Martini from the bar was great. The Tokyo curry was pretty good, I wish they did it with regular grilled shrimp instead of breaded shrimp, nevertheless the curry was pretty good.
Now the not so good, it was a Saturday night and the noise level in there was almost unbearable – mostly young kids having a birthday party, so thatś ok but it was crazy loud!
Ive seen some very positive reviews for the food here but I was very disappointed in the Chirashi I ordered – the quality of the fish was sub-par. Raw fish like that should never have sinew in it, thatś the whole point. Not sure but I think they use that tuna thatś died red, it looked fake. The salmon was mushy, although some of the yellowtail and pieces were fresh and finally one of the pieces was not fresh at all very gamey – the taste was so bad I could not finish the dish. I would reccommend you don´t get the raw fish there- probably my fault for not ordering the Hibachi which is probably the best thing in the place.
I will definitely come back !
A 13 year old, or an adult should be allowed to order a kids size hibachi simply because it’s a smaller portion. Sad that this lady only cared about making more money and not about the pounds of food that was going to be thrown in the garbage. I left very disappointed last night for the first time in over 20 years, payed over $500 and all the food was wasted, l hate to waste food and this could have been avoided. Sadly, I dont think my family and l will come back here again, this place has lost its magic.
On the good side, our waiter Steven was kind and friendly.
