We got the Gyro Salad, Lamb and chicken special, with Turkish coffee and baklavas. The pita bread and hummus was the best I’ve ever had. All our plates were amazing. The walnut and pistachio baklavas were the best we’ve ever had. The service was outstanding. We felt like we were at a 5 star restaurant by how we were treated. The Turkish coffee was fresh and so tasteful. The owner was incredibly nice, super fun, and the woman working was the same way- the type of people who lite up the whole room! We live in Oregon but came again because my husband remembered the service he had 6 years ago, and it was the same today as it was then. I just can’t say enough good things about this place. The price is affordable, the bathrooms are clean, food is great, everything was just.. excellent. We would love to visit again. Thank you for having us!
I’m already looking forward to my next visit.
Look forward to eating here again sometime.
The food was absolutely delicious, the Turkish coffee was sooooo good (also a first for us) and the pistachio baklava was absolutely AMAZING.
The best part of the experience though was the service!! Probably the BEST table service I’ve ever had in my life, no joke… and being 47 years old I’ve been around the block a few times.
We’ll definitely be coming back, and I’ll definitely be recommending to everyone I know!!
Thank you Pita House for the amazing experience!!
The price was very reasonable for the quality of the food, we will definitely be back.
The owner is fantastic and really cares about the place, and it’s truly a gem of the community. Tina, our favorite server is fun and attentive – never an empty glass or basket of pita at the table – SO PROFESSIONAL.
Pro tip: For a little humor, ask to upgrade your water to holy water and wait for it.
That is why, in my 36 years of living in the PNW, I was slightly nervous about eating a gyros at the Pita House. Even with the high ratings, I have found most of my experiences in WA state with Greek food has been a sad disappointment. I didn’t want that to happen again.
It didn’t.
The restaurant kind of reminded me of the SNL skit with John Belushi and Dan Akroyd, “Cheeseburger! Cheeseburger!” (If you know, you know! For you youngsters, find it on YouTube for a good laugh.)
Dive vibes, but clean, with the anticipation of some new, wondrous gastronomical experience just waiting to happen! I felt right at home!
The waitress was a delightful young lady. We ordered two lamb gyro with garlic fries. (Pony up for the extra meat add on. It was worth it!) The gyro meat was tender and beautifully spiced and the garlic fries were sublime. Crispy, crunchy and garlicky! The tzatziki was decent. I could have used a bit more garlic in mine, but it complemented the sandwich just fine.
The waiter working along with the waitress was a very friendly fellow, too, and I suspect the owner. We shared with him that it was our anniversary and he brought over two pieces of delicious baklava at the end of our meal. Flakey, buttery phyllo: one with walnuts, one with pistachios. Both divinely delicious! We also ordered two nut rolls to go, and those were also incredibly yummy!
Two thumbs up for the Pita House, their staff and the food. Don’t overlook this hidden gem in Battle Ground! You will leave satisfied.
