Amazing! Chef Engel did that thing! The food was so good, especially the shrimp! I went for an early lunch and chose the Hibachi side. They weren’t that busy so I didn’t have anyone else at my table. I debated just moving to the dining room but decided to stay, as I already had my sushi and salad. They were so nice and welcoming! They didn’t make me feel like an inconvenience of turning on the grill for one. It was the best experience ever!

Reservation for 12 at 6:30. All 12 of us were there by 6:15. They were short staffed but not that busy. I Made the reservation 5 hours prior. We weren’t sat until 7:45. We didn’t have beverages until 8:15. Unbelievable and unacceptable “service”. We were also treated like we were in the way while we waited for an hour and fifteen minutes while we visibly see 6 open tables. We also couldn’t get a beer at the bar, because there was no one there. I asked two people for a steak knife for a total of 4 times before I got one. Soups and salads at 8:30, two hours past our reservation time. Unfortunately the food was sub par, and the service was non existent. We always order the filet. Very little flavor and it was grey in color. The “chef” tried with all of his flare, but I’ll take flavor and fully cooked vegetables over “flare” any day. Also, some people might not care about cross contamination with the spatula with raw chicken, but I certainly do. A towel doesn’t remove food borne illnesses. We weren’t treated well. We were barely treated. Even though it was 6 separate checks, we were all given an automatic 20% gratuity for a party over 9. Which is understandable if our reservation mattered or if our service warranted it. We always tip well and we own a restaurant or I wouldn’t bother complaining/informing of inadequate dining, service and food quality. We spent well over $600.00. Our experience (for a birthday) was a JOKE. We won’t be back.

We had a 7:30pm reservation on Valentine’s Day at Hinode. They promptly seated us at 7:30pm and I was SURPRISED because they were VERY BUSY. Our waitress was Rachel and she was very knowledgeable about the menu as my wife was not very familiar with their menu. Rachel was very attentive to us as customers making sure that our needs were addressed. The food came out in a timely manner as I had sushi and shrimp tempura and my wife had Teriyaki Chicken, soup and salad with a wonderful house dressing on it. The plates of food were VERY GENEROUS as they made sure that there was PLENTY of food and it was VERY GOOD. I have to say that I was a little apprehensive about trying Hinode after reading some of the reviews on Google, but our experience with them on Valentine’s Day was TOP NOTCH. We will DEFINITELY be returning to Hinode as it was one the best dining experiences that I have had recently. Keep up the good work!

We went during Valentine’s Day 2026…. Rachel S was wonderful. She handled the restaurant running out of noodles and steamed rice like a true professional with grace and was truly apologetic even tho it was not her fault and out of her hands. She crushed it with the limited resources she had. When the food did come ( a lil late, to be expected) it was delicious and hot.

Sofia was our server and Engel was our chef, and they were beyond fantastic! The food is great, the atmosphere was amazing, and hands down the best filet mignon ever! They offer a military discount if you show your ID. Hands down great experience, 10/10 recommend! Ask for Engel!

Is this under new ownership? It’s seems to have gone down the drain quickly compared to the last time I placed an order there. I had to wait to be served. While my order was prepared in a fast manner, it was so salty that I could not consume it. The portions appeared to be rationed . How did the chef know I was dieting? I paid too much money (29 dollars) plus tip for food that was not only awful in taste, but had to be thrown away. No worries though I’ll never go back .

Engel was our chef and he did great! He was very friendly, talented, and funny! We went for our sons birthday, with a party of 9. Everyone enjoyed their food. It was way better than your normal hibachi! The meat, seafood, and veggies were all better than normal hibachi places. Engel is a Veteran and let my father and I know we got military discounts on our meal with ID. Will definitely be back and hope to request Engel as our chef! Thanks and God bless you all.
