We go here every year for our anniversary, but this year was not like the past. The food was amazing and so was the wine. Our server was absolutely horrible. She was rude, inattentive, and completely abandoned us after our entre arrived. I asked to order another drink and she grabbed a drink menu and we never saw her again. We rarely eat out and this was a major splurge for us, she treated us like an inconvenience. Based on other reviews, we aren’t the only ones who had this experience with her.

Pasta made from scratch! Locally sourced, an ambiance similar to that of a New York style bistro. Excellent wine selection. Craft made drinks from the bar. Exquisite service. A must try for anyone that lives in the Milwaukee area. This is a go-to for us on date night. Try bar Centro too if you want a fun night full of live music and a speakeasy feel.

I was there last night with a friend and our server, I believe her name was Anna was not very pleasant or attentive. She had a condescending tone and treated us as though we were an inconvenience. For the record, I’m a black woman and my friend is white. I couldn’t help feel like that played a part. Never once were we checked up on the whole time we were there. When I finally paid the bill she took the receipt booklet and said “is it cash, charge or what?” It was a card but I’m not sure why it mattered one way or another. The food was fine, the atmosphere was nice but she made the experience unwelcoming for us and yet I still tipped her well in spite of that.

My husband and I have been going here since it opened, and fortunately, the quality of the food has remained excellent in spite of the disruptions caused by the pandemic, and in spite of the post-pandemic issues with inflation. Prices are significantly higher, of course, and entrée portions seem a bit smaller now, but it’s still an overall great place to enjoy some tasty food and wine.
