Our motel was surrounded by chain restaurants, so I looked to Google to find something local nearby. This was exactly what we needed. Not too fancy, very friendly, reasonably priced and really tasty. I had Sesame Chicken made with white meat and my mom had Beef Broccoli. We both had the combination plate with steamed rice and an egg roll. We also added a small order of Crab Rangoon. We could have easily split an entree since we couldn’t take home our leftovers, but everything was so good that there wasn’t much left on our plates. We dined in – you order at the counter and they bring your food to the table, but the drive-through looked like it was the most popular option on a Friday night. The food far more quickly than I’d expected, too.

My favorite Asian restaurant at the north end of town!
The taste and food quality is always excellent and served in generous portions.
My meal in the pix is veggie fried rice and a bowl of hot and sour soup. ALWAYS perfect!

I took a bite of my chicken in my dark car and realized I was given the wrong order. I turned around and went inside to get it fixed. They threw away the entire meal since I had taken a bite out of it. I offered to take it and they said they wouldn’t fix my order if so. I went ahead and gave it back then. What a waste! None of the 5 people standing behind the counter ever apologized to myself or the other customer standing next to me who they gave me his order. Will not be going back here!!!

This place has some of the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Took 2 bites and they were both so disappointing I took the food and gave it back to them. The mall has 10xbetter food for half the price.

Chicken is hot and fresh, offer all white or all dark. Cashew Chicken is good, but brown sauce could be more flavorful. Generals Chicken is again good but a solid 7 out of 10 since it has NO sweetness. It tasted like a spicy brown sauce.
Fried wantons are good as well. All good was hot and there was a line out into the street to get in on a Tuesday evening.

Hong Kong Inn N Glenstone location is a child of the ORIGINAL Hong Kong Inn, a true Mom&Pop “Cashew Chicken Springfield Style” that was located on S Glenstone in the 80s. While the Parent restraunt was known as a “call-in to carry-out” kind of place, the offspring all have plenty of room for self service dining, as well as a drive thru for speedy service & of course the traditional order for take out. While your Cashew or Sweet & Sour Chicken daily special now comes in a plastic bag with the handles tied for stability instead of a Paper bag that was folded, & stapled shut to keep the styrofoam container from shifting around, I love that you still get the same classic entree, plus egg roll and two wontons. The price is great, too.The daily special is geared to those who are on a limited budget (who isn’t today?) & the price has always been super affordable. Hong Kong Inn is the place I want when I need “Chinese Comfort Food.” For me, that means Chicken Fried Rice & an order of Crab Rangoon & maybe a bowl of Egg Drop Soup. (They arguably serve some of the best goons in town.) Great for days when you’re hormonal, nauseous, bloated, tummy upset, fever, achey all over, stuffy nose, scratchy throat, cough, Sneezy, or feel so blecky in general & just feel the need to be wrapped up in a big comfy blanket & have your Mom bring you Chicken Soup! ❤️

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed Hong Kong Inn yet, so I’m rectifying that right now.
Hong Kong Inn has been a staple for Cashew Chicken for decades. And while the prices have gone up (just like EVERYWHERE ELSE!), they still give you a fair amount of food for the money.
And the service is great. Especially that sassy lady at the drive thru window.

I ordered sesame chicken and it was the spiciest sesame chicken I have ever had. I was not expecting it. Luckily I like spicy food it just was unexpected. The food came out quickly and I enjoyed the atmosphere. It was easy to find seating for large groups. The food portion was pretty large I finished most of it. I ordered the sesame chicken combo and my friend ordered the sweet and sour chicken combo.

We came to sit down and eat at the restaurant. I called them at 7:30hand they told me their lobby didnt close until 8. We got there within 15 minutes and their lobby was already closed. They said their driver thru didn’t close until 9 but they chose to ignore us. Poor service and I wont be going back.

Got an order of general chicken and a sweet and sour chicken lunch special along with an order of pork and noodle chow mein with crab Rangoons and egg rolls. While there was some spice to the general chicken, both it and the sweet and sour tasted very bland and watery. The breading was already peeling off the chicken as soon as I opened the box. The pork chow mein tasted very bland and the rice was just overcooked. The only things they got right that I ordered were the egg rolls and the rangoons. For just over $40 I was expecting so much more flavor. I would almost rather warm up some P.F. Chang’s in a microwave.
