It was a bit early for dinner on a Saturday night. We arrived after 5 pm. You could imagine it was not crowded yet. Only one table was occupied and another group just arrived right before us.
The restaurant felt a bit smaller than expected, but the tables were not packed at all. Walking in, we were offered a small table either at the entrance or at the back, we chose the latter.
We were introduced two special dishes of the night and we picked soy sauce chicken. Chicken was very tender and juicy, and it was not too salty as the name might sound.
We also ordered a stir fried beef with vegetable in satay sauce. It was very flavourful. Beef was tenderized and slightly fried perhaps. Broccoli was cooked just right. There were also finely chopped onion and pepper that added flavour and texture to the dish. The sauce might be quite oily for those who are health conscious.
We were offered free dessert at the end, some Chinese cookie and red bean soup.
Surprisingly, service was top notch for a Chinese restaurant. My plate was changed twice by a female server while I was enjoying the chicken. The receipt surveyed a 15% tip and they totally earned and deserved it.
We wanted to check out this place for future family celebration dinner for special occasions and this place definitely passed the test. We definitely would love to come back to try more dishes!
Thanks to my daughter’s friend, we were able to get a table on a Sunday lunchtime with a last minute reservation Dim sum was yummy, generous portions and reasonably priced. We loved the Fried sticky rice, DELICIOUS Booking is highly recommended on weekends, but might still need to wait for a while after arrival. Service was good in general. Highly recommend it.
The service was not great, the host brought our party of 4 to our table but proceeded to remove a table setting, leaving only cutlery for 3 people. When we asked him about it, he took a big sigh and started acting fussy about how we couldn’t count. When he realized he counted wrong, he brought another set of cutlery back but started slamming the plates and bowls on the table. Everyone else we interacted was fine but I’d rather not return.
Signature dishes include the baked lobster with noodles, Peking duck served in two courses, and their steamed whole fish. Service is generally efficient, though the restaurant can get very busy during peak hours, so reservations are recommended. The atmosphere is lively, with the sounds of bustling conversations and clinking teacups filling the room. Prices are moderate for a seafood-focused restaurant, and portions are generous.
Tin Tin Seafood Harbour balances traditional flavors with consistent quality, making it a go-to choice for those craving authentic Hong Kong-style Chinese cuisine in the Vancouver area. Whether you’re in the mood for a casual dim sum lunch or a lavish seafood feast, Tin Tin delivers a satisfying experience.
