We had the most lovely dinner last night at Alize in Marigot on the French side of Sint Martin. We are staying on the Dutch side and ventured to the French side for dinner. The restaurant Alize was just perfect. Amazing setting on the water. Wonderful hospitality from the entire staff. The manager of the restaurant was an expert photographer and took some wonderful pictures. We shared some oysters with a bottle of Prosecco as we dined alfresco. Dinner recommendations of bouillabaisse and the octopus were perfectly prepared. For desert we shared the sampler as we toasted our Wedding Anniversary. We felt like we were in a cafe in Paris. Just perfect. If you have the chance to go you will not be disappointed. To everyone at Alize. Merci bourcoupe pour bette soiree magique. Bravo!! Brian and Christina

Fantastic venue unlike other options in Marigot! This is a gem and should be inspirational to other investors on a truly beautiful marina. Food was delicious and we ate there multiple times during our stay. Portions are substantial. Cocktails …WOW – beautiful and delicious including a “real” wine selection. This is a spot to have any meal or spend hours at the bar (possible with device chargers at the bar) and it’s the nicest bathroom for miles!! Our chartered boat, Go & Sea with captain Franck, picked us up and dropped us off directly at the marina – what more do you need for an amazing day in SXM!!! Highly recommend!

The restaurant is cute. I ordered foie gras, it was amazing. I highly recommend. The ceviche was not good, I was really disappointed because it was not authentic. It was a rare combination of rough fish and apple, which was not a good pairing.I spoke with the manager about my allergies, but there was no communication between the manager and the chef, and my experience was not good.

The reason St. Martin is the considered “The Culinary Capital of the Caribbean,” is because of hidden gems like Alizé SXM.

The small restaurant could be delighting diners in Paris or Lyon, but instead it sits at the base of the harbor in Margot. Well appointed decorations with a chicken and contemporary feel are complemented by impeccable service, delicious craft cocktails, and a kitchen producing gorgeous and sumptuous culinary favorites.

The menu is small, with around seven appetizers and the same number of entrées, but everything is amazing. That’s not just hype from the server or owner. Reviews are high and we agree.

We ordered a wonderful French Chenin Blanc from the Loire Valley. The restaurant provided a complementary gazpacho-like soup with a brunoise of bacon on top, and was served with a dense bread and butter both made in house.

We chose the Beef Tartare as an appetizer, which was visually stunning and tasted even better. They classic preparation was accented by small dollops of egg on top. Although you could have this for one person the portion was definitely generous enough to share.

For our main course, we went with the Bouillabaisse and the Duck à l’Orange. I didn’t get the names perfect, but the chef impeccably prepared these classic French dishes incorporating in their own interpretations.

The soft earthy flavors of the spices, tomatoes and onions in the Bouillabaisse sauce created a harmonious blend with different pieces of seafood created a savory taste and aromatic dish.

My duck, may have been the best i have ever tasted. I racked my brain and could only come up with one equally great duck over 25 years ago in Ligonier, Pennsylvania.

The temperature of the duck was a medium rare plus. I know some people think that is not a thing, but please go with it. It had a beautiful sear on it, and was perfectly seasoned. The orange sauce mixed with the juices made every bite pop. The dish was served with roasted cauliflower, which was also good with a little of the sauce.

For dessert we did three small samples of their regular offerings, accompanied by espresso with Gran Marnier. An excellent way to end the best meal we have experienced on the island.

The pace of the meal was consistent, but very European. You have the table for the night. Also, if you need something, motion to your waiter. They will not interrupt you in between courses. We love this style of service, but it is different than the hovering of American waitstaff. Finally, they will not present the bill at the end of the night unless you ask for it. You let them know when you are ready to leave, they don’t rush you out.

I would highly suggest you add this place to your itinerary.

I went to Alizé MORE THAN ONCE on my week long vacation in St. Martin.

What a wonderful and welcoming spot right in the heart of Marigot to have a drink or a meal. The space is fun, fresh and inviting and the staff was attentive and engaging (and they let me practice my French!). The menu was fresh with some delightful options. GET THE OCTOPUS it was simply sublime!

There is a fine wine selection, but my favorite was the cocktail menu. They have some really interesting cocktails… but if you’re feeling adventurous, ask Veronica to choose something for you! She made me a really fun play on a Manhattan that I LOVED.

I even got to meet the owners while I was there!

If you’re visiting SMX, make sure to stop in to Alizé.

Ready for the big time? Check this sleeper out on the harbor. This is 5 star all around. I would put food quality in my top 20 in the world and I am very well traveled and wellvfeed (with a matching waist line). Just go. Relax, have a cocktail or two, move to a table and work your way through the menu, slowly, savor it!

The ambiance and atmosphere were absolutely everything. Celebrated my 30th birthday here and the staff were beyond wonderful. The food was worth it as well! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a space with class and comfort.

What a cool/ hip little surprise spot on the marina. Great drinks, great food, great service, and cool atmosphere. Even cooler story of why it opened — 4 friends wanted a bar after Hurricane Irma. Found this while avoiding the bad traffic, so happy, will be back again every time we visit SXM!

A beautiful gem in Marina Royale, SXM. The cocktails were creative, the food tasted rich, balanced and well seasoned, the French wine list was incredible and unique, and the service was friendly. They had great choices to accommodate my vegetarian diet including a fantastic pillowy gnocchi with creamy blue cheese sauce. I especially loved the vibe and decor. With plenty of greenery and gold accents, it’s both casual and elegant. We had the Cos d’ Estournel Blanc 2021 and the Cos d’Estournel Bordeaux 2021, both exceptional. I can’t wait to try another bottle from their wine list soon!
