I treat myself to my fav chinese takeaway now and then and I come here everytime as their chow mein, dry is always to die for and proper tatty chips, the food is always so good but tonight I am so disappointed it looked like a sticky mess with missing ingredients really bad compared to usual it doesn’t come close, the chicken curry was sweet and the chicken was watery rubbery snide i can’t believe it, its like there was no heart in the food they sent which ive had to great satisfaction very many times but I’ve always felt the care and flavour that went in to the food and you could tell it was family running g it but now it’s just bare, cold and a horrible sweet mess and not seeet in a good way.. apologies I hate saying this but I’m just gutted I may have to move on try find another.. I know we have to make money but sacrificing what you hav3 built only to destroy greatness.. what shame.. tisc tisc.

Superb food every time!! I’ve tried most Chinese takeaways in Darlington and this is the best for me, also the Chinese lady is such a lovely funny person. If I did have one complaint it would be that the online payment rarely works but that is a minor issue in the overall scheme of it.

Chinachina, would class this takeaway as one of the best in Darlington, used many, many times of the years, the lady who takes the orders is brilliant, however, the the delivery times have gone from bad to worse, you are told the boss says 1hr for delivery and 2hrs later you are still waiting and eventually when the food arrives it’s nowhere near as good as it used to be, tonight we decided to give them another go, we were told delivery would be an hour and 15mins, still waiting 2hrs later, sorry but had to cancel, yet another local takeaway that puts money and quantity of orders before service and quality, sad to say we won’t be using them ever again…

Been using them for about two year last and alway been spot on for meal few weeks ago and was disgusting gave them the benefit of the doubt …. Ordered tonight chips look like forgot they were cooking soggy and awful

We’ve had some lovely meals from this takeaway until lately, chicken was rubbery and we found gristle on several pieces of chicken. Absolutely not using this takeaway again.

My favourite Chinese in Darlington. Most things far surpass any other Chinese I’ve had. The garlic chili chow mein is delicious hands down my favourite especially the beef (though I wish there was a little more meat sometimes) they have proper homemade style chips bit like pub chips and i think the only Chinese in darlo that does them you can get kids meals with chicken balls, chips and sauce for under £6 which makes a fab starter/side. There are a few things disappointing like the aromatic duck has been dry and bit bland everytime I’ve tried it but that might be a supply issue as I’ve not had a really good one for years. Also the munchie box is a bit samey, too much salt and pepper and chicken could do with a bit more variety, I’d do away with the spring rolls and one of salt chicken items and do like a bit of seaweed, prawn toast, ribs, satay but good value for what it is if you like that.
Also the phone staff are always so lovely, extremely polite, easy to understand and happy to answer questions about the food and always remember to ask which freebie you’d like when you spend over the threshold. I get terrible phone anxiety but calling here is tolerable!
Another plus is location, super easy to collect as they’re just opposite asda/matalan so can nip into their car park if no street parking and then you can pick it up hot and fresh in about 20 minutes rather than relying on drivers. Perfect.

I will be very lucky if I don’t get sick. Chicken fried rice.. one of the top selling dish should always be fresh. Mine looked and tasted like it was forgotten a few days ago and just found to be later sent. Other dishes not much better. Shame on you!
