However, today was unusual. My family member (who is a disabled veteran) was meeting us at the restaurant when they opened. We had a party of 3 and he arrived first. The hostess made him wait 30 minutes in the empty lobby on a wooden bench. When he told them about his situation and needing a proper seat. They ignored him. They also ignored his request to sit at the bar and wait there. This is inexcusable bad service. To add insult to injury, the same hostess that gave him a hard time when he initially came in also made a very derogatory statement to him as he left. We told the manager and to our knowledge, nothing was done. Afterwards, the only interaction we had with another member of supervision was when he came over and gave us his first and last name, and then started joking with the table beside us about food poisoning. Yikes. We will never come back.
I received a text message indicating that my order was ready, but 20 minutes passed without the bartender taking any action to have it brought up. I eventually had to remind her myself.
When I returned to my hotel, I realized that the add-ons I had paid for were missing from my meal, along with the cutlery I had specifically requested. While I acknowledge I could have double-checked before leaving, this experience reflects a clear lack of quality assurance.
I had the catfish. Very good! The batter was very bland. No seasoning. But I would get it again because as a fish eater, my options are 1 of 3 things.
The broccoli was good but my carrots were hard and quite cold.
Steak was, “good…but not as good as Outback.” says my boyfriend.
Music was VERY loud and then halfway through the meal, it went down.
Friendly staff for the most part. Clean. No Christmas lights like the Bridgeville location.
Long story short – Outback Steakhouse for the win. 🙂
I asked for extra gravy with my mashed potatoes and that never arrived. Regularashed potatoes and gravy arrived with a 35$ well done ribeye that was ordered medium rare. She asked for A1 and that never came.
A senior manager came over and apologized and presented us a 40$ dinner for 2 coupon after I complained to the assistant but my dinner alone was that amount. If I’m coming to a restaurant with my lady I’d like the server to actually check on the table and see if things are okay. The gentleman that ran the food was excellent and seemed to care more than the assistant manager that came at first.
Your closing server should be someone who actually cares about the people that come in after 830 if you’re going to have a restaurant that is open until 10.
Absolutely terrible service.
