We love going to Marty’s, always greated with a warm smile, it’s typically busy so you know everyone loves the food and atmosphere. We typically get the BBQ plate, so lots of great sides to choose from, The spicy vinegar sauce on the table is used generously. Refills on the drinks and prices are very reasonable. Service is fast food is delicious and we always come back. We sit inside because I like to enjoy my meal asap. I only gave a 4 star on the food because we can always strive for better, but it’s usally a 5. I’m glad to have this gem close by,but I’d drive fartherif I had to, drive through line is fast as well.

My wife and I took a road trip to Wilson to try Marty’s BBQ, and it did not disappoint. The to-go line was long — out the parking lot and down the street — but since we were dining in, we got through quickly and were seated in no time.
I had the BBQ and fried chicken combo with slaw, boiled potatoes, and Brunswick stew. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. My wife had the BBQ sandwich with potatoes on the side and loved every bite.
The food, service, and prices were all excellent. No complaints from us — just a great experience all around. We’ll definitely be back

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Marty’s BBQ in Wilson, NC- especially Christy H.
We placed a catering order during an already emotional and busy time for our family, and I will be honest…our order changed more than once. Through every adjustment, Christy handled everything with professionalism, patience, and grace. Not once did she make us feel like we were a burden or inconvenience.
She stayed in communication, made sure every detail was correct, and most importantly-ensured our order was delivered exactly when it was supposed to be. In moments where timing matters, that level of reliability means everything.
The food was delicious, fresh, and exactly what we expected (and then some). But what truly stood out was the customer service. Christy went above and beyond to make sure things ran smoothly, and that kind of care does not go unnoticed.

I’ve been told by many friends to come here. Today was my first time and the line was around the building for a reason. If you want good food, don’t come here, if you want great food at a great price that makes an impression, Marty’s is where you want to go. The chicken was crispy and juicy, green beans and Mac n cheese were good too. I wasn’t impressed with the coleslaw but I have a feeling it’s usually better. The banana pudding was great! I will definitely be coming back when I’m passing through Wilson again.

Fast even during rush hour ! Fair pricing and great flavor ! If you like your bbq with a little kick request the proper vinegar to go along with it you won’t regret it !!! Marty’s puts Mr Abram’s bbq to shame I highly recommend Marty’s moist bbq to anyone looking for top of the line pig in Wilson area Oh and the Brunswick stew is to die for

This was my very first time visiting Marty’s and the service was great! I got my food in a timely manner as well. RESPECTFULLY… I was very disappointed at the portion size. I had very small portions in all three of my plates although they supposed to have been LARGE DINNERS. After taking such a long drive just to purchase us some Marty’s Plates. I CAN SAY THAT THE BQ AND THAT QUART SIZE HOMEMADE BANANA PUDDING WAS MY ABSOLUTELY FAVORITES!!!

We were traveling south and were interested in sampling some BBQ for lunch. We came upon this place and found it to be quite popular with the locals as there was a line around the block for the drive through. So we thought we would give it a try.
The good news … from what they had to offer, the food was quite tasty.
The bad news … the offerings were limited. From what we saw on the menu, it seemed to be mostly chicken (with a lot of it fried) and some chopped pork. Now I know this is the Carolinas so brisket may not be an option. But the pig is so revered I thought we would see that offered a number of ways, and at least see some baby back ribs on the menu.
Not sure this place is named properly as I expected to see more BBQ than anything else on the menu, and that is simply not the case.
