Went on a date night for our first visit here. Although the service could’ve been a little better, the food was great. We sampled several different things and really enjoyed the Dilly bread, the glazed salmon, and The big kahuna burger. The fish dip was just OK. Pricing not terrible either, we will definitely be back!

Had high hopes but they quickly died. Waited forever for our food, tables that were seated after we ordered ate and left before we even got our food and the restaurant was nowhere near busy. We were the only table seated in our room by the time we got food. My Med rare ribeye was Medium well at best and tasted like they seasoned it after they cooked it. I have honestly had a better steak at huddle house. My wife didn’t finish her steak either as hers was not good as well. My son said his fries were good so there is the bright point. Used to be good so when we heard it reopened we were excited to go back, now it is on the one and done list.

My family has eaten there several times a month since they opened. We love the food, the service and the atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable and everyone is always very friendly. It is amazing to have a local restaurant that supports local musicians. We went tonight and the shrimp tacos and the oysters were incredible.

The food was good, a little off from what was expected, but delicious nonetheless. The service was on point even though Sage was swamped! We showed up for the band and they didn’t disappoint!

The saving grace is the manager is so good but the food and drinks were not.
We got crab on their “all you can eat special” it was unseasoned and bland and the butter didnt even taste like butter.
The drinks came out in styrofoam cups. When we asked why they said to stop condensation from getting on the tables. Yeah? Thats what coasters are for? This isnt a fast food resturaunt.
The drinks were also not great.
Luckily, the manager was very sorry and let us order something else. Our party got a variety of 3 dishes all of which were very “okay”.
You are competing with resturaunts like 306 and friends at those price points yet i can get better food at burger king.
On top of all of this my mother currently has terrible food poisoning.
We would have been excited to try the resturaunt again hearing they are re-doing their menu… AGAIN. We used to go to the original salty snapper all the time, but its hard to trust a resturaunt after their food makes you bedridden for an entire day.

If you go just grab a drink at the bar and enjoy the music. Went there tonight and the service was incredibly slow. Literally took 30 mins between each phase of the night, drinks, appetizers, main dish, even trying to pay took forever. I got a burger, it was cooked ok but the onion served on the side was diced and the tomato was halved cherry tomatoes. Salad veggies for sure idk if they ran out of regular stock but it was impossible to eat in a burger.

Went with a few friends on a Saturday afternoon. Place was dead when it should have been packed with people watching sports, or hanging at the bar. We ordered raw oysters. They were not fresh at all. Oysters tasted off, some were ‘slimy’ and just smelled bad.
Ordered two dozen… tried to eat the first dozen but they were just bad. Sent the second dozen back. Ordered the hush puppies also which were good. I had high hopes for their reopening, but the handful or times we’ve been it’s been nothing but disappointment. The vibe isn’t there, the decor could use some upscaling and refinement, and the food quality just isn’t there. For the prices they charge, this should be a top quality dining experience. I’m hoping they can get a handle on things. This place has the potential to be an amazing venue and restaurant with top quality food and entertainment … but they aren’t there yet. Beers were cold, and our waitress was great , and we appreciated her! She ended up taking the oysters off our tab as they were inedible. Hoping it will turn around soon. I’d hate to lose them again.

Pleased with the food, drink selection and atmosphere.

I always get the special and it didn’t disappoint. The spicy sausage dish was above expectations. My wife had the chicken parm and had the feel of homemade. Kid had the wings and no complaints from a fairly picky eater.

A solid go to in Valdosta.

The atmosphere and service was awesome! The Salty Snapper combines price-sensitive dining, fresh seafood, a casual atmosphere and live music all in a single large venue. Nautical elements reinforce the seaside theme. They offer live music on their patio every Thursday through Sunday! See Their Facebook Page for the artist line-up each month! Every Monday they have TRIVIA on the Patio @ 7:00 p.m. Every Wednesday they have KARAOKE on the Patio @ 6:30 p.m.
The food was fabulous and plentiful for the price! My wife had the “best shrimp and grits I’ve had”. Raw oysters are absolutely fantastic and one of my favorite dishes! They usually have 5 selections, so you can have your choice of small, medium, or large and then of course creamy or briny. Of course, my absolute favorite, Tuna Poke. If seafood isn’t your thing, no worries, there are plenty of other scrumptious items on their menu.
We will certainly return when we are in town!
