The Bronzino I had was superb, especially with the broccoli rabe and potatoes.
My wife said the lentil soup (one of the specials) was delicious and our son enjoyed the chicken parmesan hero (also one of the specials).
Our waiter Oliver was so professional with warm, friendly vibes. We loved the elegant decor and cozy atmosphere as well!
It was also a pleasure to meet master chefs and owner, Alessandro (Sandro) himself and so cool to hear that Alessandro’s other master chef, Alfredo has been working with his dad for many years at different restaurants! I’m happy that both chef Alessandro & Alfredo and wonderful waiter, Oscar and friendly staff are all at Alessandro’s Italian in Manhasset, Long Island!
Thanks for a wonderful afternoon of fine dining!
A++ 5/5 stars
Our family dined upstairs, and we appreciated that the second floor is accessible with an elevator — a nice touch for families or anyone who needs it. The space was cozy yet elegant, perfect for a relaxed meal or a special night out.
We started with the zucchini calamari fries and the chopped salad. Both were fresh and flavorful, and the zucchini calamari fries were a fun twist on a classic appetizer — crispy, light, and not greasy at all. The chopped salad was a great balance to the richness of the meal.
The standout dish for us was the Rigatoni Rocco. It was exceptionally good — rich, comforting, and packed with flavor. It’s the kind of dish you think about long after the meal is over. We left full, happy, and already talking about when we’ll be back. Highly recommend this spot for anyone who loves real Italian cooking!
The quality is consistently top-notch, the flavors are rich and traditional, and the portions are generous. The drinks and wine selection are also fantastic.
If you’re looking for a true Italian dining experience, Alessandro’s is the place. This was my 3rd time dining here and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!
For entrees, my husband had the bucatini carbonara- which was creamy, smoky, and full of flavor! One of the few places that make it the traditional way with guanciale and egg yolk and NO cream. I had the tagliatelle bolognese, the pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauce rich and flavorful. Topped with a heaping scoop of freshly grated Parmesan. Would absolutely order all of these dishes again! We were also eager to try the tiramisu for dessert, which was recommended, but were too stuffed! Will definitely be back! I also saw that they have homemade gluten free pasta, which I didn’t not try but definitely sent to a friend who is gluten free!
The Mafaldine Pesto Rosso was exceptional—easily a dish I’ll be thinking about for weeks. The pasta is made in-house and you can taste the quality in every bite. The pesto was perfectly balanced, rich without being heavy, and beautifully coated each ribbon of mafaldine.
The pan-roasted artichokes with wild mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, market greens, goat cheese, and a touch of truffle oil were another standout—fresh, fragrant, and layered with flavor.
For entrées, both the Wild Red Snapper Oreganata and the Grilled Branzino were outstanding. The snapper, prepared with lemon, garlic, white wine, toasted breadcrumbs, confit cherry tomatoes, spinach, and roasted potatoes, was perfectly cooked and full of bright, savory notes.
The branzino, served with Sicilian salmoriglio and broccoli rabe, was generous in portion—so much so that I had leftovers to bring home.
Service was excellent from start to finish—warm, attentive, genuinely kind, and highly professional. The team made the evening feel relaxed and effortless.
Alesandros is a true gem in Manhasset, and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommend.
The service is amazing, owner is always around talking to everyone making sure everything is perfect.
Definitely a good to place if in the area, no matter what you order you can’t go wrong from the appetizers, salads, pastas, main dishes, deserts are delicious.
First, the goat cheese was torched on top of the beet salad. This was a great effect. The dressing on was absolutely delicious with just the right amount.
The pasta was al dente freshly made. It sat in light tomato sauce with an incredible pesto sauce throughout. It was topped with fresh soft mozzarella and sprinkled with pine nuts. The nuts were just the right amount.
The owner/chef came out to greet his patrons and came over at the end of our meal and greeted us knowing my first and last name. I thought he was a class act!
This was our first time going to Alessandro’s and it will not be my last. I highly recommend you try it out.
Thank you, Chef Alessandro and your staff for 2 memorable dining experiences. I look forward to the third one on 11/7!
