WARNING-I ate some of my food before I took the pictures.
I ordered pancakes, bacon, a sausage patty, scrambled eggs with cheese, potatoes (I asked to add onions), a South Hill Latte, and a brownie.
The food was good and the portions were worth the money. The customer service was great. Overall I give it an 8.

Food was tasty. I tried the fried catfish, BBQ, burger, mac n cheese, fries and slaw. I was happy with all of it. I would suggest asking for honey butter for the rolls and hush puppies.

I really wanted to like this place and support a new local restaurant, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing.
The kitchen got part of our order wrong. My partner ordered the hamburger steak without cheese, but it arrived with cheese. The waitress didn’t catch the mistake, but did offer to correct it when we brought it to her attention. At that point we decided to just scrape the cheese off instead of waiting.
I ordered the BBQ sandwich, which had what I believe was a liquid smoke flavor. This wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the menu description. I understand some people enjoy that flavor, but I personally don’t, and I wouldn’t have ordered it had I known.
We also ordered the hush puppy appetizer. They were overcooked, small for the price and arrived almost at the same time as our main meals instead of before. The menu states they come with honey butter, but none was served. When I got up to ask for it, the waitress seemed confused and said they don’t have honey butter, as if she wasn’t aware it was listed on the menu.
Overall, the rest of the food was very mediocre. I truly hope this restaurant improves with time, because it has potential, but based on this visit, it missed the mark. We will definitely give it another shot in a handful of weeks to see if it improves.

We had a fantastic breakfast here. It’s just the place South Hill needs. Breakfast all day Sunday. They have specialty coffee drinks and the prices are great and affordable with quality food. Can’t wait to try lunch or dinner. Please check it out and support local business. We need it here.

My wife and I stopped in to grab a bite on 2 /28/26.We were in town for the Billy joel tribute band at the theater.The owner and staff were awesome and the food is so delicious!The hamburger steak was absolutely delicious and the homemade mashed potatoes !!!The green beans were seasoned perfect!And if you are looking for a tasty latte,this is your spot!Can’t wait to go back!Michael and Melissa Moss!
