My husband and I had a fun, delicious meal at C29. We sat at the bar, and we were warmly welcomed by the bartender. When he gave us the menu, we were immediately struck by the incredible wine options available by the glass. I tend to drink more white wines while my husband prefers reds. We rarely buy a bottle of wine when we go out. It was great to see that we could both enjoy incredible wines from wineries that are both hard to find and, when you do, only available by the bottle.

Food-wise, everything we ate was perfectly prepared and delicious. We could tell that a lot of time and attention went into the ingredients and their preparation. Nothing was overworked or too complicated. The price point of some of the dishes may give you pause, but when you taste the food, you quickly recognize the quality. We enjoyed our meal so much that the next morning we returned to the restaurant to pick up some of their bakery items. The croissant and pastries did not disappoint. We’re looking forward to enjoying another great meal at C29.

A exceptional dinner at C29 Restaurant. Every dish was thoughtful, beautifully executed, and deeply satisfying.

The mushroom lasagna was absolutely out of this world — rich, earthy, and perfectly balanced, easily one of the best pasta dishes we’ve had in Napa Valley. The bass was cooked flawlessly: delicate, fresh, and elegant without being fussy. And the meal ended on the highest note with the chocolate soufflé, which was nothing short of spectacular — light, decadent, and unforgettable.C29 delivers food that is refined yet comforting, with a clear respect for ingredients and technique. We can’t wait to return

Capo 29 is one of the Best of the Best on all levels! It was our Anniversary and we were treated like Royality!! It all started with Arthur, our server, who described our vegetarian options with enticing language and suggestions of the Chef’s specialities! Our atmosphere was romantic with a gracious welcome from Chef Bruce and his wife Shelly. Our dinner was amazing and all we had hoped for, and then topped with the most delicious Chocolate Souffle’! We highly suggest this experience to one and all!

Seriously the best pasta dish I’ve had since being in Italy. This place is amazing authentic and everyone was very friendly. I asked for a 2011 wine. They only had an older vintage but charged me the same price. Very nice. Would highly recommend

Had a fantastic evening here with Rick running the bar and Katarina hosting. We pretty much had the place to ourselves on a slow January night, and the service was private, personal, and spot on. We loved all of Rick’s bar creations and the stories of the owner and knowledge of the area. The atmosphere was great, even though their spot downtown is only temporary. Food was also terrific, and they’re one of the only (if not THE only) restaurants in the region that offers souffle for dessert. I will agree with others that it was extra pricey (it seemed everything in town from lodging to thrift-store clothing was priced sky-high).
Given our private dining experience, the price was worth it.

Looking forward to returning in the near future.

Way overpriced. Chilean sea bass too slimy and weird to eat. None of the appetizers were great. No decent top shelf tequila. Do not recommend.

We had a wonderful dinner at C 29! The grilled Caesar, Bronzino, Seabass, and pasta carbonara were all excellent—every dish was prepared perfectly. The chocolate soufflé was absolutely to die for! Service was impeccable from start to finish, and the atmosphere is quaint and cozy, making it such a charming spot. Love this new addition to town and can’t wait to return!

Thought the food was absolutely incredible. Best pasta we’ve had since being in Italy itself. Service was perfect, our waiter took so much pride and joy in it all and it was infectious. Brought out several small tasting plates on the house and it was all incredible / added to the experience. Felt like an undiscovered Michelin Star. Regarding price, was like a typical San Francisco restaurant, and believe they may have already responded to comments around the “price” by adding a few wine by the glass options starting at $15. Was not too pricey relative to quality. Would go back and would recommend to family.

Restaurant has great potential and nested in a great location.

Generally not impressed by the food considering the price range and the better alternatives in the area. We had a recommend rigatoni Ragu and a rack of lamb bill close to $200. The produce felt like it was not freshly made and would expect better for that price range.

The staff is super friendly and kind. They left us with great complimentary little desserts at the end.

Would encourage staff to reduce overall menu size and focus on more seasonal foods to improve of overall customer satisfaction.

Very overpriced. To the point of seeming like a scam. I usually don’t leave reviews. But, in this case, the food is so outrageously overpriced for what you’re getting, that I feel like I need to post about it to warn folks. I have no problem paying a high price point for food and an experience that is in line with what you’re paying for. This is not that. The price is extremely elevated, but the quality of the food is that of any average Italian restaurant.

We dined here because Cook St. Helena was booked up. Waiters were waiting by the door at this place trying to entice people in. We ignored it initially because there was no one there. Later through, we thought maybe the place was new. This was seemingly confirmed by the staff. Turns out though that this is a “pop up.” The permanent restaurant will apparently come later. Seems weird, but ok. When we asked about this, we didn’t get much of an explanation. What we did get were a lot of details about how the plates are Christian Dior and how the cutlery was sourced from the same company as that of the Titanic. Very weird observations that we hadn’t asked about. All in all, it seemed like they were trying to highlight how high class the restaurant was, in spite of the food (the most important part) being very mediocre for the price point. Not terrible. I want to highlight that. But not even remotely close to being the quality you would expect for pasta dishes that are between $50 – $60. I’ve been to plenty of high end restaurants where I happily pay this price point. I’m always wowed by the food. Not here.
