I stop by Sweetgreen for takeout about once every two weeks, and it’s always a great experience! Tonight, I had the Chicken Pesto Parm, and it was delicious as usual. It doesn’t look as great after being all mixed together but it was great! The location is super convenient, right off 14th St NW and W St NW, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. There’s plenty of seating inside, plus a few tables outside on the sidewalk for when you want to enjoy the weather. They’re open every day from 10:30 AM to 10 PM, so it’s easy to stop by whenever I’m craving a healthy, fresh bowl. Highly recommend Sweetgreen for anyone looking for a tasty, nutritious meal!

I ordered the new KBBQ bowl and was very excited for it after trying the sample. But there is NO steak in my bowl and they gave me sweet potatoes?? Only found out after I got back with my bowl – not even a “sorry we ran out do you want chicken instead”?? This is what we pay for now?? I even tipped and now I just feel dumb to even still come here.

We were greeted by whom I assume was the manager, and told that someone would be with us in just a moment. I usually prefer to create my own bowls, but I was disappointed that you could only pick four toppings at which I assume you would be charged for additional toppings. As someone who likes a bowl full of veggies that was disappointing. So I went with One of their bowls it had quite a few of the toppings in it that I wanted.

I got the barbecue chicken bowl but I subbed the tomatoes for cucumbers. I asked for extra dressing, but I should have made sure I liked it first. Lol. It wasn’t horrible, but I wouldn’t get it again(The dressing). Everything was fresh and had a nice crisp. I really enjoyed the chicken. I was quite dissatisfied with the portions. I definitely felt like I could have used more greens. There was too much empty space for the price.

My fiancé got a different meal and he enjoyed his especially the honey? Mustard dressing. The potatoes were great as the chicken. He would have gotten the wild rice instead of the quinoa.

The manager came to our table to ask how everything was and we had a nice conversation with her. Customer service was great, everyone was friendly.

Prices were expensive. We paid $42 for two bowls and two bottles of water. My fiancé did get extra chicken.

I usually enjoy sweetgreen and their hospitality all the time. This time, I felt extremely disrespected and disappointed at this location. The employee was very rude with his approach and mannerism. There was a conflict that caused confrontation between me and him. The manager even apologized for his behavior but I was so irritated and ready to go. I did not want to make a scene. I’m highly annoyed because this is not the typical behavior I get when I come here. At checkout, I was asking for a bag to go from a different employee and a fork was put into my face by the man who originally took my order. I was confused because I was not even speaking to him. He said no words and walked off.

Ordered via Uber Eats and paid extra for an additional piece of salmon. What I received was one small portion that had been split in two—not actually two separate pieces. For a meal that cost over $30, this felt misleading.

I went back inside and explained that I had ordered two pieces of salmon but only received one. They did provide the additional piece I paid for, but I noticed they had to get salmon from the back since they appeared to be out in the front display. It seems like they were trying to cut corners by splitting one piece rather than getting fresh salmon, probably to avoid restocking sooner.

The fact that they initially tried to pass off a split portion as “extra” is concerning. It makes you wonder if this is standard practice for delivery orders, assuming customers won’t notice or come back to check.

For the price point and reputation, customers should get exactly what they pay for from the start, not have to return to claim what was already purchased.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sweetgreen at 14th St, and it was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked in, the restaurant’s cozy and welcoming ambiance drew me in. The cheerful decor and the soothing background music set the perfect tone for a relaxed dining experience.
The star of the show, of course, was their incredible selection of salads. As a health-conscious individual, I’m always on the lookout for fresh and nutritious options, and they made me feel a great experience. The variety of salads on their menu was impressive, offering an array of flavors, textures, and unique combinations. I got the chicken teriyaki which is served with blackened chicken, roasted zucchini, yellow squash, spicy broccoli, raw carrots, basil, shredded cabbage, baby spinach, and sesame teriyaki dressing. I added pesto dressing and it was simply amazing.
The staff members were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu.
Another aspect that impressed me was the restaurant utilizes eco-friendly packaging and sources its ingredients from local farmers whenever possible. It’s heartening to support a restaurant that values the environment as much as it does its customers.
In conclusion, Sweetgreen is a gem of a salad restaurant in DC and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Whether you’re a dedicated salad lover or simply looking for a healthy, flavorful meal, this restaurant will not disappoint you.

Sweetgreen really has its act together and this location is a prime example
This one has massive cafeteria seating which makes it less “cozy” than other locations but I imagine they need it for peak times (I’ve seen it mid-full at mid peak, I can imagine what it’s like during peak )
If you’ve never done sweetgreen you might want to consider it
Fresh and when possible local ingredients in a “as healthy as one can be” in large turnover environment
Tasty too
Staffed well

Literally paid $18 to get 3 pieces of chicken in my buffalo chicken salad… like what? I paid extra for the steelhead fish, but there is like basically no chickento be found. What a waste of money.
