I love Potbelly’s Mediterranean sandwich, and the sandwich I got on 5/31/25 was exactly as I remember it with one exception. I don’t remember the hummus being spicy the last time I had it, but I really enjoyed the spicy hummus! The two people working yesterday were very nice and made everything quickly. The location of this shop is perfect to hit up after the farmers market on Saturday. It fits very well into the whole State Street vibe. Potbelly offers decent food at a decent price.

they subbed my vegetarian side for a meat option without telling me. and didn’t remove the swiss so sandwich was nasty. “no refunds”. i find it hard to believe a multimillion dollar company doesn’t have the capacity for refunds. this was my first and last time ordering from potbelly. name always grossed me out, should’ve followed my gut.

I usually love Potbelly’s food and the staff are great. This evening for national sandwich day, however, Potbelly bit off more than they can choose by running a BOGO promo and not having an adequate online ordering system.
My order in the app said ready for pickup at 7:01. When I arrived at 7:10 and waited until 7:35 to ask if my order was even within the next 10 of the queue it wasn’t.
Overall, frustrating evening for me and my partner as well as the staff and other patrons.

This is the steakhouse beef sandwich and it is inedible and disgusting. The bleu cheese is sour and liquified. The “beef” is stringy, bland, and has such an off-putting texture. Maybe other sandwiches are fine but please do not get this one. Did not finish it.
Management did reach out to me and wanted to solve the issue and offered me a free sandwich but nothing can really fix what happened here. I do appreciate the effort and care. They are trying. However, this does not make your sandwiches taste better. There is literally a Jimmy Johns, Jersey Mikes, and more within a block. Go there and do not risk buying something like this.

Rude, discriminatory service + gross hygiene
Two visits in a week. Same employee went from laughing with the customer ahead of us to rolling his eyes at us, refused eye contact, and kept snapping “speak louder” even though we were already loud enough that people turned to look. When we asked for multigrain instead of white, he slammed the white loaf on the counter and acted angry. I went back today—same person, even worse. The treatment felt targeted and discriminatory.
On top of that, I could see spit while they were chatting and making sandwiches. That’s unacceptable around food.
I’m done with this place. Management needs to fix the staff behavior and basic hygiene immediately. Not recommended.

We ordered the skinny sized avo turkey. The cashier asked us what we’ve got and we told him it was a skinny avo turkey sandwich. He charged us regular sized price without letting us know first. Then right after we paid he came back and told us he charged regular price because they made a regular sized sandwich. I told him I would appreciate if you were to tell me before charging me that. Then he said he can redo the sandwich or give me credit. Told them to redo the sandwich which they took the original out and cut it to skinny size. Once we sat down and start eating, we discovered that there were no avocado in the sandwich while we ordered avo turkey… eventually they gave us a side order of avocado to make is up and also credited out sandwich since they had new employee and they had messed this up twice with the size and missing items.

Ordered the large Powerhouse salad as I usually do but this time the girl with the long dark blonde straight hair at this location that made my salad not only needs a serious attitude adjustment but gave me a salad that was half the size it should be, it is usually filled to the top of the bowl. It had Two small pieces of chx, no avacodo and barely there amount of Hummus and a sprinkle of egg if that. I’ve been to this location once before and have had this salad numerous times at other locations around the US as I travel alot for work, so im well aware of what its suppose to look like.Does my salad look anything like the picture on the website???? NOPE! I also asked for balsamic dressing instead of the fat-free that she gave me instead, which is no big deal she prob didnt hear me but when i asked her for the correct dressing she practically threw them at me. And God forbid when I asked a for a bag since since I wasn’t eating there it just about threw her over the edge. I was the only customer in the place. The guy that took my order was pleasant. Next time I’ll just go to aTarget one block down and Grab a salad for half the price and without the bad energy of this establishment. I mean really can this meal look anymore pathetic??!..smh

The atmosphere was lackluster and somewhat confusing and grubby looking. The subs came out relatively quick however mine came with handfuls of jalapeños in it without them ever being added to my sub or getting a sub that would include them.

I had the Cubano and a shake, and my wife had the Mediterranean. We both enjoyed our food, and the window seat on State Street. The person who made our sandwiches went out of his way to make sure we got exactly what we wanted.
