Saporito’s Pizzeria is about 14 miles from me i live in Freeport, but the drive was well worth it. This is a true mom-and-pop pizzeria that offers both excellent food and warm, friendly service. The pizza was outstanding—perfect crust, flavorful sauce, and fresh toppings. They also have a good selection of classic Italian favorites beyond just pizza.
The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the kind of place where you immediately feel at home. Service was quick and attentive, and everything came out hot and fresh.
If you’re looking for an authentic, family-run spot with top-quality pizza and Italian food, I highly recommend Saporito’s. I’ll definitely be back!

We eat here on a regular basis. The pizzas are great.the wings are awsome. The homemade dipping sauces can’t be beat, especially the blue cheese so thick and creamy it’s absolutely the best. We ordered the lasagna for our Christmas dinner this year and in my personal opinion it was the best lasagna I have ever had. I would definitely recommend..

Best pizza in town for sure!!!!! I miss my Chicago pizza and we thought let’s try this place out since there’s nothing really good near us and surrounding us. I have to say the wait was worth the try. It was a busy Friday night and we were told from the beginning it would be about an hour wait for dine-in which hey we didn’t mine the wait as we wanted to try the food. We ordered the Italian Beef Pizza, Pepperoni Pizza, and a Mushroom, Black Olives, I think my daughter added pepperoni to that as well. The pizza was amazing, crispy, flavorful, like we couldn’t stop eating to the point that the next day we wanted more. The foot traffic picking up their take out orders was insane so I knew it was definitely good. We were the first ones to sit at a table for dine-in and the rest of the tables got full really quick. There’s not enough seating areas so I’d say arrive early and if you have a big party plan accordingly as they do have a big table but it gets busy quick. I think next time we are sticking with take-out. The customer service was 10/10 I was impressed as how they kept coming to us and ensuring we were good as well as working behind the counter during dinner rush hour. Customer service was by far the best, keep up the good work!! It’s impressive to me when you see teens work well under pressure and continuously smiling. It shows the great team in place and positive vibes to keep a busy business flowing smooth. The kitchen area looked like they were moving fast and in an organized fashionable way. If they were overwhelmed you couldn’t tell they just worked hard and focused on getting those tickets out. It smelled good the whole time we were there. I also ended up ordering the cheesecake to go and it was the last piece and I’m so glad I got it because it was so good. My family and I will be going back!!!

Best Pies in the area!!
Anytime we order from here, we usually always order the Junk pizza. BUT, you absolutely have to try their specialty pizzas as well! The spaghetti and meatball pizza is amazing…all the way through to every specialty they offer! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

It’s a decent but authentic Italian restaurant with decent pizza and good spaghetti. The pepperoni pizza has the pepperoni slices underneath the cheese which I’ve never seen before. It’s a small place and it’s usually busy so getting a seat can be tricky. The other problem with place itself is that the kitchen has no walls so all the smoke from the kitchen circles around in the dining area which is annoying. The other problem is that you can’t get a small pizza or a single slice so I wouldn’t recommend eating here by yourself (unless you can finish a whole big pizza by yourself) overall it’s decent but there are better places to go to in Lena. But the breadsticks are super good.

I had to make sure that the first chicken sausage and wild mushroom pizza I ordered wasn’t a fluke. Nope, the second one confirmed it. I really think this pizza is the best I have ever had. If you are reading this in December you need to move fast. This amazing combination of flavors is this month’s special and won’t be around next month. Thank you everyone at Saporito’s for coming up with this delicious pizza. I’ll be back for a third before the month is up.

We were working in the area and decided to have pizza. Immediately, Saporito’s came up on the Google search with 4.7 out of 5 star rating. The description on the Saporito’s website reads “Homemade” which caught out attention. We drove 25 minutes to try it. Looks are deceiving! It’s a small restaurant next to the Amtrack. We decided to try one of their specials. 16″ Pizza, wings and a 2 ltr of Pop. We also added two salads.
The salad was first. The salad included lettuce, tomato, a boiled egg and a small cup of dressing. This was really nothing more then lettuce. We chose French dressing. The taste was not to our liking. Tasted like Kraft french dressing. ( Not home made!) The lettuce was not fresh and was turning brown.

The special we chose included either boned or boneless wings. We choose the first. The wings were definitely not fresh. They tasted like frozen Tyson wings. Two of the wings were nothing but breaded bone. No meat! We asked for buffalo hot sauce and barbecue sauce. The Buffalo hot sauce was bland. Nothing like the Buffalo at other restaurants. The other sauce was Sweet Baby Ray’s. The wings were not to our liking and we didn’t finish them.

The main course: half cheese/sausage pizza. At first glance, it’s looked amazing! Unfortunately, it had almost no sauce and the cracker crust was soggy. The cheese was extremely greasy. We love Pizza! We ate a third of our pizza and disposed of the rest.
Rating D.
When we checked out, the hostess asked if we’d return. We studdered to answer. I will definitely not return.
Overall Rating: D

This is a great pizza place with excellent food! The people are fantastic, very hard workers! I wish they had a bigger place and not so hot but that won’t stop me from coming back!

The Wild mushroom pizza with chicken sausage is the best pizza we’ve had in a very long time. We were very happy with it even tho we questioned even getting it. The house salad was awesome also. The Staff are always super friendly even tho very busy. Very happy experience all around! When dining in I’m always amazed by how fast the guy cuts and boxes up the pizzas.

Food is okay. I guess it depends on how you like your pizza, I feel there wasn’t enough sauce on it, and very bland. Breadsticks are plain Jane. Wings are okay.
