We do not often eat whilst traveling I-49, but this is certainly on my list to try !
As far as getting there, it’s right off the exit. Whether you are headed south or north, it’s easy to get to.
Huge parking lot and fairly clean. Rest parking for bigger vehicles – or even hauling a trailer.
The gas station side is clean, will stocked, and friendly employees.
If you need a snack, they have plenty…. chips, crackers, cookies, sodas of all flavors, power drinks, beer, water, and even slushies.
They have other items you might need for you car and many more items.
The gas pumps even have water buckets and squeegies for your windshield. What a nice surprise to find not just FRESH water but also susdy!!
So many planes just have stale water from what ever rain mighta got in it.
Plus, they had paper towels !! I always clean my windshield when we stop and this was quite nice.
It’s the little things !!
But do stop at Quebedeaux’s whilst you’re there !
The price is very cheap and the food comes in huge servings, and is delicious. I could taste the Cajun seasoning.
I’ve seen this place on billboards when driving from Texas to Louisiana, so I’m so glad we got to try it!
I ordered the Boudain egg roll- not bad but wouldn’t order again and the infamous chicken cracklin…these are chicken bites. I was thinking it would be like regular cracklin but its chicken! BUT they’re delicious. Still just chicken bites. But hot, fresh, and delicious.
I paid $15.15 for a half pound of chicken (bites) cracklin and 1 egg roll.
