The food here is so good, affordable, and they’re open late. Even though it’s the most simple, the cheeseburger & fries are my favorite thing I’ve tried here so far. The only thing I would change is to be able to dine in as well but I have no problem taking it to go. Truly a hidden gem. If you havent tried Lewis St Grill yet you’re missing out!

This was my first time visiting them. The pros: I like the fact it’s completely take away/carry out. The menu is a bit extensive but can be executed quickly for most foods are fried. I got the 7 shrimp and fish dinner (fish being catfish) which came with fries for a side. The catfish fried to perfection, crunchy seasoning was great and the fillets where nice size 6-9 oz for the portion. The fish is what saved the dish for me.
The cons: Using frozen precooked U60/70 shrimp was the negative for me especially at that price point. Then only giving less than 3oz, overcooked tiny shrimp was definitely mind-blowing, almost disrespectful. It begs the question, how big is the portion for the shrimp basket(dinner) and what sized shrimp? I’ll definitely try them again, trying something completely different.

Unfortunately, my last experience with Lewis Street Grill wasn’t good. I ordered chicken wings which were over fried and under seasoned. You can see from the picture that some parts of the wings were burnt. Personally, I wouldn’t have served them. I tried adding a little salt and pepper, but it didn’t help. As most cooks know, seasoning should be done prior to cooking and allowed to sit for a few minutes prior to frying. On a positive note, the fries were on point and the greens were good. I’ll try again in the future.

This is a carryout only establishment with some outdoor seating available. Have a large menu to choose from and advertise that they are open 24 hours. I ordered the fish sandwich in which the breading had a great flavor and turkey tips that are covered in BBQ sauce. Both I highly recommend. My only food criticism is that the tarter sauce is cheap in packets. Outdoor area is nice to sit at but is right on the road.

You order inside, but be aware sometimes there is a wait so calling ahead is your best bet. I got philly cheese fries and a shut em down burger combo and it is so freaking good and only $14 FOR BOTH! I’m gonna be back
