A simply superb New Year’s Eve dinner. A glorious family experience from start to finish ✨
We chose Oscar’s to kick off my mother’s birthday year and couldn’t have picked a better place.
Pascal clearly runs a professional, thoughtful and welcoming outfit. The restaurant is very reasonably priced, not overpriced, and that care shows in every detail
The restaurant is wonderfully cosy, so pre-booking is definitely recommended. On New Year’s Eve we were seated downstairs, which added to the warm, celebratory feel ️
Starters set the tone beautifully. My husband and father had the Moules à la Crème, my mother and I the divine broccoli soup, and my brother and sister-in-law the pâté. All absolutely spot on
For mains, my father and brother shared the Aubrey Allen dry-aged rib-eye on the bone for two. Outstanding quality and cooked perfectly. Three of us chose the exceptional confit duck leg with spiced red cabbage, fondant potato and red wine sauce. We could have been in Paris My mother had the pork belly, which she loved.
Desserts were equally memorable. Crème brûlée, apple crumble, and a generous cheese board for the chaps featuring Bleu des Causses and 30-month aged Comté with quince paste and biscuits
From the food to the atmosphere to the service, it was a truly special evening. We will absolutely be back ❤️

Went last year and was really impressed. This time was the complete opposite! Terrible service, starters were really average for £10 each, the steak was very rare after asking for medium, we both ate about half each, the waiter took the plates, didn’t even ask how it was, just ‘dessert?’ – no thanks haha.

I think the peppercorn sauce and the onion salad was was probably the best thing about it.

Excellent food, wonderful service and outstanding attention to detail, we wouldn’t hesitate to go back. We also appreciated the care and attention and reassurance when it came to gluten free options. Thank you for a great evening.

My partner and I attend for our anniversary, I say with confidence this is the best restaurant I’ve ever been to! The food quality was authentic and on par with what we’d had in France, the atmosphere was lovely and intimate, and the service was exceptional! We spilt our wine and both waiters helped us move tables with no fuss and even shared a small laugh with us about it, turning an easily embarrassing moment into a great one. Great value for money, indulgent portion sizes, it was so good, we were rushing to end the meal in order to tip them! We’ll be returning soon 😉

Hidden gem in Leamington! I visited this place on a Tuesday night (when you have the fixed menu’ of 3 courses at 26 £) and it was fantastic.
The food is delicious and the atmosphere magic.
Excellent value for money!

As you sit down, you are given complimentary baguettes, which go really well with the soup and mussels. The starters were both great; definitely no complaints. The steaks, which were the stars of the menu, were amazing. I ordered a fillet steak, which was cooked perfectly (it’s really hard to cook it any other way). Personally, the steak didn’t need any sauce; it was that good! The peppercorn sauce was better with the fries. My only complaint was the atmosphere; a waitress just awkwardly stands in the corner, all grumpy. Apart from that, I highly recommend it!

Got served sliced baguette, butter, olives, and saucisson as we sat down.

We had rump and ribeye steak. The steaks, fries and salad was all incredibly well made and had wonderful portions.

We were served promptly, despite a busy Friday night. The tables are quite close to each other but it does add to an intimate atmosphere.

I would love to go again and bring guests.

It was a lovely dinner. We came for the set menu on a Tuesday. They were very accommodating before we arrived, changing items for allergies. Would be 5* but service during the night was hectic. Steak came over cooked and was changed very quickly after a disagreement, however they did not ask us how we wanted it cooked before hand. Which I think is a real shame because it would have made the experience much better and less wasteful on the food. Would definitely come again! Just better communication on the night.

What a great place. Really lovely French food, well cooked. No BS, the sort of food you get in the French countryside- not Paris!

Staff were nice and helpful, quick on their feet!

10/10… Very, very good. Punches above its weight.

Just superb! From entering the restaurant to paying the bill, this was a glorious experience. We went for a date night on a Saturday night. We pre-booked which is recommended as the restaurant is very intimate.

The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and respect of allergies and the selection on the menu was brilliant.

I had the sirloin steak from Aubrey Allen, and my partner had the pork. The French cheese board to finish was very special, too.

Well he back.
