Pizza dough can perhaps be a little more airy but the kale pizza was quite tasty despite the dough comment.
Desserts are ok and definitely not the star of the night.
Fungi pizza was good, a bit salty but as someone who isn’t the biggest mushroom fan I liked it. Four cheese was simple, could’ve used a bit more cheese I feel like, but the crust and flavor was good.
Would come back for their happy hour deals and try more things on the menu
The sauce was juicy, and robust. It complimented the cheese well. Basil was equally distributed on the top. Every bite tasted fresh.
You can tell Fiorella cares about their pizza by quality of the crust. It’s the absolute highlight. The crust was perfectly cooked on their wood-fired oven, producing an amazing texture packed with flavor.
I would recommend any of their pies next time you’re in the mood for a neopolitan style pizza.
We had dinner at the counter, and it was honestly the best option: it’s a bit more lively (not too much, don’t worry about being inconvenienced by a bartender showing off in front of you), it’s a good way to interact with your waiter (Camilio was an ANGEL, the guy speaks English, Spanish AND French), you have a nice view on the Kitchen and the bar shelves.
Food is pretty good, decent choice on the menu, and meals are actually a bit sophisticated: it’s not your typical comfort food, it’s more elaborate, and I think it’s a really nice change, you get a différent view on a meal you have eaten a thousand times like pizza or pasta.
Food volume is generous: couldn’t finish my plate, which is a first for me
Super quality/price ratio, with a Nice scenery, which from what I have heard, is hard to find in SF.
PS: we had pizza but from what I have seen, pasta is really what you should take
Can’t recommend this place given how many good italian places are in the area.
Went once for dinner and the food was not good and they refused to cut the pizza for us. Then tried breakfast and the toast and bacon was burned and portions were small and pricey. Never again
Rigatoni bolognese has al dente pasta and a very flavoursome bolognese sauce.
Funghi pizza and Good Neighbor pizzas both had not too thick dough with ample toppings. Both pizzas were light and we didn’t feel too full afterwards.
