Despite advertising table service through a QR code, nothing arrived after 40 mins. I had to walk up the lobby bar. And then the wine I ordered wasn’t available anymore,
I.e. menu wasn’t correct. What’s up with this place? Beautiful location, yet zero service. All the furniture was somehow wet despite it not having rained for over two weeks. Seems like it could be nice if management could get itself sorted. Get here fast, it may not be around much longer.

Our time here was memorable. The good was in good proportion. The quality was great, the service was great. We had a 1030a.m. reservation of 12 so it felt a little rushed to order being the kitchen closes at 11a.m. until dinner but literally everything else was fantastic. Our waiters were great and cut my baby shower cake for us perfectly and stored it for us as well being it was an ice cream cake! Would definitely recommend. Views were priceless.

Staff are extremely friendly and kind. Restaurant is very kid friendly, while also maintaining a fine-dining atmosphere. The sunset views are spectacular. My spouse and kids truly enjoyed our experience and will be coming back soon.

My girlfriend and I have been here twice and everything we tried tasted amazing. The chef was willing to substitute mushrooms for meat on a pasta dish that ended up being my favorite entree I’ve ever had. They were also able to fit us in without a reservation both times. I only wish the menu was bigger, but it does change regularly.

We were disappointed that there is no happy hour currently but we were told their other restaurant will be opening soon that does have it. Magnificent views of the ocean…sitting area by fireplace and great appetizers and drinks. Oh yes sign me up!

Dinner was served as room service as Monterey County continues to be closed for in-door dining. The view of the bay is spectacular and amplified by the crashing of the waves. Main entrees were good, with flavors unique enough to distinguish between both species of fish. Dessert was slightly lackluster, with the chocolate torte falling flat with flavor and a more fudge-like consistency.

One point deduction for the maître d‘s reaction to our gayness as we walked in. We’re here to spend our money at your expensive restaurant so check your micro aggressions. Our server was excellent and didn’t act weird at all around us. Thank you for that! We will be back. We’re local and the views are fabulous!

The food here is very good, although quite expensive. The menu is also small, so you may not be able to repeat-dine more than twice if you’re staying at the hotel. The restaurant’s most unique selling point is the view, which is stunning to say the least. Every seat in the house provides the view, which is great as well. Overall a nice experience.

I was pleasantly surprised by the fantastic breakfast we had at the Tides Waterfront. We stayed at the Monterey Tides Hotel during spring break. I rarely eat at the hotel restaurant because in general hotel restaurants are terrible. Not this one. They had a wide variety of offerings for meat lovers, vegetarians and the pickiest of eaters… kids. The restaurant was built like Windows on the world. Each row of tables were placed higher than the one in front of it. Design intended for all patrons to see the lovely view of the bay and that it was.
The wait staff was amazing. I was having a particularly hard morning with my 10-year-old son who was over tired from our trip. He only wanted chocolate chip silver dollar pancakes for breakfast. On the kids menu, they had a character shaped Pancake, plain, no chips. He was upset and said he didn’t want anything. I ordered it anyway. I also ordered the eggs bene for me, cooked, well-done and sauce on the side. Bacon done well and coffee. I ordered milk for my son. When the order came out to our surprise the waiter convinced the chef to make 5 of the best ever chocolate chip silver dollar pancakes This was the best breakfast of our trio and probably the best meal as well!
