Tremendous fresh seafood is the trademark here. We had the whole soft belly clam roll served with fries or onion rings. They are lightly breaded and cooked in freshly changed oil. The onion rings are the real thing, sliced, breaded and deep fried.
They serve you all of the popular sauces, tartar, chili, cocktail plus Tabasco. Good selection of beers to choose from. We had an attentive waitress as well. Eddie’s is worth a visit. You’ll be back!

This is everything you want in a New England seafood place and a New York pizza place. Somehow they do both really well.
Gluten free and celiac diners will love all of the options. The folks here are mindful and knowledge about GF needs.

I ordered for pickup from here, and never had I had a fish fry so lacking in flavor. The fish was dry, the breading bland beyond belief. The clam strips were rubbery and hard to chew, and again incredibly bland. The onion rings were barely breaded, soggy, and the onion still mostly raw. I will say the mozzarella sticks were tasty at least, and you can’t do too much to a side salad, so at least I didn’t go hungry at work. I’ll continue to order my fish fry from Ted’s however.

Friendly waitress (Charlie) and super good food – amazing even. I would drive a great distance for their lobster bisque, & the homemade onion rings were perfect. My husband enjoyed his fish (haddock) tacos & the sides he got. Everything was homemade, & it was served really hot! The only distractor was the room temperature – it was in the single digits outside, and very cold inside. They eventually brought a heater out to warm the dining room up. But still a great overall experience.

This place is a hidden gem. It’s nothing fancy but the food (omg) is so good and the portions, for at least what I got (fish fry/onion rings) was HUGE and cooked perfectly…..couldn’t even finish! Highly, highly recommend! (Pictures don’t even do it justice)!!

Wow what a place for seafood. Especially WHOLE BELLY CLAMS! It’s hard to find them this far inland. They are fresh and now that I’m thinking about this I think it’s time I go back for more. Friendly staff and the food came out so fast. Not to mention they give you a full container of tartar sauce! Not some little cup that you have to keep asking for more. Thank you for this place!

I’ve always wanted to try Eddie and Mario’s New England Seafood because I’ve heard so many great things, so I finally went for lunch with my mom. The interior is cute and inviting, and the staff was friendly. It was fairly busy but not overwhelming, which made for a comfortable lunch atmosphere.

We started with the calamari. The calamari itself was very tender, which I appreciated, but unfortunately the breading was extremely light and completely lacking in seasoning. It had almost no flavor at all, and the coating fell right off. We had to add quite a bit of salt just to make it enjoyable. That said, the marinara sauce served with it was delicious and definitely the highlight of the appetizer.

For my entrée, I ordered the fish and chips and substituted onion rings for fries. My mom ordered the fish tacos. She enjoyed hers — the mango and pineapple added good flavor, and while the cheese crust wasn’t her favorite, I could see why others might like it. My fish and chips had the same issue as the calamari: the batter was flavorless. It wasn’t bad, but it tasted like plain cooked flour rather than a seasoned batter. The tartar sauce helped a lot, but the dish relied heavily on it for flavor.

Overall, the food was just okay. Nothing was inedible, but for a place with such a strong reputation, I was surprised by how little seasoning there was across multiple dishes. I don’t quite understand the rave reviews when the breading and batter are so bland. I may give it another try, but this first visit didn’t live up to the hype for me.

Shoestring onion rings? Well, at least the soup was fantastic.

Was pretty excited for this dinner thinking about it more or less all week long as my one cheat meal, so when Friday came around I ordered ahead of time over the phone for take out. Going with an order of a Caesar salad, the lobster bisque, and the calamari basket.

It was all ready within 10-12 minutes and the cashier I dealt with, Christina, was super friendly and processed my payment lightning fast. In total I did end up paying $47, which I felt was a tad pricy, but maybe the food would be worth it?

Well once home I dug into everything, starting with the soup which was amazing! I could have eaten an entire bowl of the stuff and still had room for more. The salad was equally great, with just the right amount of shredded cheese and the included dressing was also the perfect amount to cover everything after a few tosses. And then I came to the calamari basket, in which I went with the side of onion rings and french fries. My first point was that the onion ring were shoestring and very sweet, and sadly were pretty lightly fried so they were all soft. The fries were also pretty under fried, their color was pale and had a far more distingue raw potato texture and flavor. The calamari itself was actually fried very well, but it was so bland. I really needed the marinara sauce for dipping, because it had zero seasoning.

Overall I felt like the container for the calamari basket didn’t work for what it was holding, it was a kind of paper box that began to deform because the fried food filled it with steam. Which ended up just steaming itself, making what should have been crispy into soggy.

In the end accounting for the price, the service, and the food quality I would give this a 3.5 out of 5, but google doesn’t do half stars so I’m rounding up to 4.

As of today, the take-out pizza menu is totally confusing concerning how to order and pricing. For example the tomato pie is described as thick and square. When I called, I ordered the 14 inch square pizza. When I picked it up, I had a 12 x 17 “square” pizza for $19.99. When I said 12 x 17 is not square, the waitress said, “That is our square.” The menu says there is a 14″ or an 18″ round pizza. I was told a 14″ cheese pizza is $15.00 plus unspecified for additional toppings; the menu says a 14″ pizza is $20.99 but no mention of any additional costs for sausage, mushrooms, etc. The waitress said you have an old menu; the new one she gave me was the same one I had. In short, the three 14″ pizzas cost $19.99 each or over $60, not $15.00 each. Other Mario Pizza restaurants have clear, easy to understand printed menus online. Eddie and Mario’s should throw out the incorrect written menus which they distribute.

I do a lot of traveling and tend to ask for recommendations for the waitress/waiter. The waitress tonight recommended the blackened shrimp, the broccoli and onion rings. It did not disappoint!! Would visit again next time in the area.
