If you place this at the regular $24 price, it’s a no. There are other aces that are better for that price.
Ok. If they couldn’t deliver, I requested a different, less expensive price. I mean if I have to pick it up. I was told I had to reorder. After I had already paid..
I told the worker they should turn off the delivery option. So that this way there isn’t any confusion. The customer service was sub par. The pizza wasn’t cut even.
And to be honest it wasn’t the normal quality I’ve expected from this restaurant.
We ordered a pizza for our work- there’s only four of us so we ordered a large for delivery and are literally down the street.
They can’t find our suite so they cancel our order- okay, no biggie, we call them and get it figured out. They deliver the pizza and we give them our payment and we move on.
Except its been over an hour and a half since we placed our order… and our pizza is ice cold. 🙁
We call and ask to speak to a manager since we got a delivery and our pizza’s cold. Sam answers. She is combative from the start, insisting that there “is no way the pizza could possibly be cold since we have heat lamps”. We say, “okay, sure, but its been over an hour since we placed the order, they got lost finding our building and it was cancelled. Can we speak to the manager to try and get this sorted out?”
Sam says that “he’s busy”. We say ‘okay, that’s fine, he can call us back when he’s free.”
A half an hour later, Sam SHOWS UP at our place of business (a medical office by the way) and starts publicly berating us, insisting that we are lying, there’s no way the pizza was cold, throws the tip we gave her back at us and begins to cuss and swear at us. Again, in our place of work. In a lobby where patients can see her causing a scene and having some sort of public meltdown.
I have personally worked several food service jobs and I have NEVER EVER even considered treating a customer like this. She starts escalating the situation and shows us a video she took of the outside of our building “proving” that there’s ‘no numbers on the outside of our building”. There, in fact, are numbers on the outsides of our building, they’re on the doors to the suites… which is in her video.
She insists that her manager, Joe, knows she’s here and that he condones her actions, that he’s given her permission to come into a place of business wearing her Domino’s uniform and cause a public scene.
Spoiler alert: Joe did NOT know she was doing this.
Things escalated to the point where we had to threaten to call the police and have Sam escorted out of the building, where she sat in her car for a very long time just staring into our suite for… some reason. I’m still not sure what she was doing- probably taking a video to ‘prove’ more things. Or have another meltdown.
Our provider called Joe and explained the situation to him and he was appalled at the blatant disrespect and nonprofessional behavior displayed by Sam. It was genuinely some of the craziest stuff I’ve ever seen from any care worker. I can’t imagine being so hung up about a cold pizza complaint that I would drive back to the delivery location and berate a paying customer like this.
When I asked her “What are you gaining by talking to a customer like this?” She looked me in my eyes and said “Satisfaction.” She also tried to imply that we are fatphobic (we are all plus size women here) by saying “You’ve had a cold pizza before, you know it isnt a pleasant experience.” and she replied with “I dont EAT pizza!! I might be fat but that doesn’t mean I eat pizza!!” Which is some of the strangest responses to that question ever.
Extremely poor experience- probably would be better just… not coming here, or going to the one in Lake Orion. Our initial complaint was never resolved, by the way. We never got a replacement pizza, or an apology for the poor experience, or a refund or anything. Truly strange behavior.
Beware I guess. :/
Consistent friendly service and yummy pizza! Pacific Veggie pan is my favorite!
