Delightful & Delicious! A must try when in San Pedro!
I’ve been visiting San Pedro for the last 6 years and Akasha is a beautiful addition to the food scene. A quick boat ride across the lagoon- greeted by warm, friendly & professional staff. Beautiful food & drink presentation and absolutely delicious!

Thank you for a wonderful experience- we’ll be back!

Photos: Caribbean Mule (be sure to ask for the pineapple cinnamon jam!) , Snapper ceviche , pork belly, cheesecake (it doesn’t taste like any cheesecake you’ve ever had!)

Server, Elias, was great. Very helpful an be knowledgeable. Food was delicious! Had chicken empanda for apps, arroz pescador for dinner. Great flavor! Special Sangria was delicious!
Hardest part was finding it. Drove into town with out golf cart, followed directions to restaurant but didn’t realize you need to take a boat over. They have a specified boat that takes you, so keep a look out for a man in the parking lot at the end of the road. Quick 5 min boat ride to delicious food and great service.

Awesome experience getting picked up downtown and shuttled across the bay to Akasha. The place is gorgeous and the service was excellent.

The food itself was a little bit lacking for what we paid, but the presentation was memorable.

We got the lobster croquettes and yellow jack agua chile for appetizers. Would get the yellow jack agua chile again for sure. For mains we got the Our Poc Chuc and the Arroz de Pescador.

The staff was so friendly and made the night for us.

100% MUST DO WHILE ON SAN PEDRO!!!

Akasha was such a fun experience, everyone visiting San Pedro should make it a point to visit. I’d recommend going during the day so you can enjoy the pool overlooking the water while enjoying drinks. We went on a Tuesday around 330pm and had the pool to ourselves for hours.

The red sangria with homemade pineapple and cinnamon syrup was delicious, though not very strong.

The bread & black garlic butter they bring you with dinner was to die for. Easily the best bread & butter I’ve ever had. It was so good we had to ask for more, no shame.

My only complaint is that the dinner menu did not have vegetarian dishes aside from a salad and soup, which was a little disappointing. The rest of the experience made up for this though, and we would come back.

**MAKE SURE** you go to the correct boat dock, the Belize Sea Shuttle Express dock. Google maps took us to a different dock in a residential area where we waited for 40 minutes before realizing we were in the wrong spot.

Also, don’t try to drive, just take the boat.

We attempted to arrive via golf cart since we were already in secret beach, after reading on the website it was accessible by road. We even called the restaurant to confirm, but ended up having to turn around as the roads weren’t easily traversable.

This was hands down the best restaurant experience I’ve ever had! From the moment we arrived, (via boat) the service was warm, attentive, and professional. Every detail—from the greeting at the door to the final goodbye—made us feel genuinely welcomed. The food and drinks were absolutely incredible. The flavors were fresh, balanced, and beautifully presented. I especially loved the blackened snapper—it was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection! Can’t wait to come back to Belize and this restaurant! Highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates great food, service and an exceptional view

Akasha Restaurant and Lounge is a gem for anyone who loves fresh coastal flavors. We started with a few appetizers: the fish croquettes and the octopus empanadas were packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. Everyone in our party was equally impressed with the main dishes. The service was top-notch. What really made the experience special was the setting – a beautiful second-floor view right at the end of the pier, with the water stretching out in every direction. It’s the kind of spot where you can relax and take your time over a good meal. Worth a visit if you’re in the area and craving something fresh and delicious by the water.

Free boat ride out there, beautiful decks including a 3rd level observing deck! Absolutely gorgeous spot for a sunset meal. Service was unlike anything else we experienced while in San Pedro. Pricey but worth it for a nice night out.

Melanie was amazing and the food was so fresh, flavorful, and worth every penny. We ordered the fish croquettes to share and I ordered the AkashA Burger for my meal- absolutely delicious. We are staying at Aruna and lucky to have Akasha just a short walk away! We will definitely be back

A must-visit over-the-water gem!

I’ve visited Akasha twice now—once for drinks with my wife and again for dinner with friends—and it never disappoints. The cocktails are excellent, and the food quality and service are both top-notch.

One of the highlights is the location; eating over the water provides a unique vantage point of San Pedro that you won’t find elsewhere. It’s a very cool vibe.

Pro-tip on getting there: It’s a quick 20-minute golf cart ride from where we stay (Black Orchid Oasis in Secret Beach). They also offer a boat taxi from town, which I haven’t tried yet, but it seems like a great option. Highly recommend!

Wow! Very nice little place on the water. Need to take a short 5min boat ride to get there, but well worth it! The food, drinks, and service was fantastic.
