My favorite Indian restaurant! Everything is so delicious and authentic. I like that they let you choose your spice level too. Service is always friendly and food is always tasty. Don’t sleep on the vegetarian dishes like paneer makhani, bhelpuri, and any of the lentil dishes.

We went for late lunch. The staff was very friendly. We ordered butter chicken, aloo ghobi, aloo paratha, chicken biriyani, naan and mango lassi. The food was delicious. The biriyani was bit salty. The butter chicken is one of the best that I had in New York.

I’m writing this review to report a serious issue after my recent visit to Taj Crown Restaurant with my girlfriend. Within a day of eating there, both of us were diagnosed with salmonella infection, a foodborne illness caused by bacteria that spread when food isn’t handled or cooked safely. Salmonella typically leads to diarrhea, stomach cramps, fever, and nausea, and it can hit hard very quickly. The infection spreads through what’s called the fecal‑oral route, meaning germs from contaminated hands, surfaces, or ingredients end up in the food people eat. This usually happens when kitchen hygiene or hand‑washing practices break down.
Given that we both became sick at the same time, it raises real concerns about the restaurant’s food‑safety standards. Beyond the health issue, the service also made the experience uncomfortable. Multiple waiters repeatedly approached our table and tried to speak to us in Hindi, even though we were clearly trying to enjoy a quiet meal together. They also began sharing personal stories about their lives in the U.S., which felt intrusive and out of place during what was meant to be a private dinner.
Friendly service is welcome, but boundaries matter, and this crossed them. Combined with the confirmed foodborne illness, this visit was disappointing and concerning. I hope the management takes immediate steps to improve both hygiene practices and staff training so other customers don’t face the same experience.

Opened September, 2022, what a beautiful, clean restaurant. Everyone we came in contact with was so nice and friendly, really made you feel welcome. We had to try a little bit of everything. We ordered the Garlic Shrimp, Lamb Chops, Mixed Grill, Chicken Saag,
Lamb Curry and Massala Fries. Dish after dish that came out was amazing! The service was also excellent. They have a lunch buffet 7 days a week that we can’t wait to try!!

Staffs are so friendly and welcoming. Pramod has immense knowledge of the food and beverages. Excellent recommendations. Old fashion cocktail and home made chocolate martini are top notch
