Aluk our server was fantastic. We came in on a busy Friday night, the whole area was bustling. Still, we got seated quick and got waters poured and menus down quick but not rushed.
Aluk came to check on us after a few minutes and took the time to answer some questions about the menu (since it was my first time having Indian food). He was well knowledgeable on what they serve and his suggestions were top notch.
I had the chicken Kahdai, husband had the chicken tandoori sizzler, the onion bhaji and garlic naan. Delicious. It was delightfully spicy. It was piping hot fresh!
Its absolutely worth the try if you’re in the area and want to try something new.

My first visit to Cilantro Indian Cuisine, I chose their lunch buffet. What a quaint and cute spot! The service was amazing, my server was pleasant, friendly and attentive! I was seated immediately and asked what drink I’d like. After getting my meal, he came back around several times to check on me, brought out my garlic naan quickly and cleared off my table before I sat back down with my second plate. You can tell they care about their establishment by the way they take great care of you when you come in. The food choices for the buffet was excellent for the price point. They included butter chicken and chicken biryani, great tasting samosas, a little chutney and pickle bar, and several great vegetarian options with rice and naan — all were tasty and mild in spiciness. You have to try their mango lassi!! It’s the perfect drink to round out their authentic indian meal! I plan on returning to try their dinner options, especially the lamb vindaloo. They are conveniently located (near Burger Fi and the Crooked Can parking lot). I’m so glad to have them in Downtown Winter Garden!!

I’m definitely not an expert on Indian Cuisine, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. But as far as I know, the Butter Chicken I had was very good. I ordered it the least spicy as possible (since I don’t like it hot) and I loved it. Go with confidence.

Walking into Cilantro Indian Cuisine is an interesting experience, as the takeout counter doubles as the reception desk, an unfortunate necessity of the genre and the modern age. The smallish restaurant seats 35 at tables with chairs: no booths are available. Indian music plays from overhead speakers, and Indian artifacts, along with a few kitschy American decorating finds, adorn the walls. The ceiling has an unfinished industrial look, and the soft blinking lights that hang from the rafters felt unnecessary. Overall, the atmosphere was passable; the waitstaff were attentive, efficient, and considerate.

I started with the vegetable samosas, which were clearly both freshly made, and a labor of love. They were perfectly tapered on each end, and their fried dough, coming apart in a flaky crust, was delectable. They were filled with a kind of pureed vegetable paste: though they weren’t remarkably flavorful, they were well-heated throughout. They were served with two sauces: both were good, but I preferred the red sauce.

Next were the masala fries, a unique and interesting offering. Though they were served without a dipping sauce, I’m not sure they needed one: the fries were very flavorful and well-seasoned on their own. They were served scalding hot and were oddly addictive.

Finally, the main course came: Lamb Bhuna, with a side of Garlic Naan, with a plateful of rice to mix it on. The lamb itself was amazingly tender and delicious, as was the sauce it was served with. The whole meal was served at a medium spice level, which made my normal nose run: I went through three of the table napkins. The entire meal had a familiar, nostalgic taste that made me long for an Indian home I’ve never visited. It’s a home I wouldn’t mind visiting again.

Having traveled to an extensive part of the world as an America, I have to recognize that Cilantro has some of the best Indian food I have had in the United States!

Alok, along with the entire staff, brought a lot of great customer service and care. Alok helped me decide on a vegetarian dish to try and even remembered later that I prefer plant-based in helping direct me for the future!

He and the entire staff smiled the entire time we were dining and checked in on us multiple times.

The cuisine is extraordinary, the atmosphere is calm and clean, and the staff is friendly! This place is one I would highly recommend!

We visited on 04 January for dinner. We had Chicken Bhuna, Saag Shrimp curry, and Vegetable Qorma, with Kashmiri Naan and Butter Naan. With this we had Coke and 2 x Wines. Everything was very delicious and Alok was fantastic, great efficient, friendly service. As food was so delicious, we ordered a Chicken bhuna and 2 x Kashmiri Naans to go. Will certainly go back soon.

The food here is outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. My wife and I drove 40 minutes from East Orlando and it was worth every mile. The price is very reasonable for the quality and variety. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, making it a place we look forward to bringing our kids next time. Cilantro has definitely earned a spot on our family’s go-to list.
