The place is nice and we saw a lot of people waiting. So we figured it must be good! We waited 50 minutes to get seated but ended up getting seated within 30 minutes which is not bad at all. The lobster bisque looked palatably enticing but I’ve had better bisque somewhere else. I rate that cup of soup 6/10 it’s not as thick as I thought it would be. As for the Seafood Fra Diablo, it was delicious just wish there’s more pasta at the bottom it seems that they ran out of pasta and further linguini into pieces since I was getting short pasta instead of the typical linguini you roll into your fork. Enough spice and taste good 8/10. As for the ravioli it was good as well 9/10. And for the fried platter of seafood and potato skins it was 9/10. The calamari was perfectly fried and shrimp popcorn was huge pieces and the potato skins were full of velveeta cheese on top just wish it was loaded with bacon but very minimal was put on top. Overall our server was very attentive and the place is nice and quick in the walk-in with no reservations.

Would definitely recommend it. It’s a first come first served, no reservations are taken, there’s always a wait since it’s a known place. the wait is well organized, ( they gonna text when the tables ready) we waited for 1 1/2 hours. There’s definitely a few places to go around and kill time but because we were visited during fall the wait was hard.

This is without a doubt a must-visit spot when you’re in Boston and craving authentic New England seafood. The New England clam chowder was outstanding—thick, velvety, and deeply flavorful, with a perfect balance of creaminess and briny clam flavor, generously filled with tender clams and soft potatoes. The lobster roll was exceptional, overflowing with fresh, sweet lobster meat that tasted incredibly clean and ocean-fresh, lightly coated so nothing masked the natural flavor, and served on a warm, buttery, perfectly toasted roll. The fish and chips were equally impressive: the fish had a golden, ultra-crispy batter that shattered with each bite, revealing moist, flaky white fish inside, while the fries were hot, well-seasoned, and satisfying without being greasy. Everything arrived quickly and piping hot despite how busy it was, which speaks volumes about the kitchen. The place gets very crowded, so expect a wait, but the quality, freshness, and execution of the food make it completely worth it.

We had the opportunity to visit Boston and this place was recommended by Google Gemini and it did not disappoint. I tried the lobster roll and it was extremely delicious. The clam chowder was savory and hit the spot. The butter that came with the lobster roll was perfect and gave the lobster really great flavor. The appetizer that we got was also delicious. The fried shrimp and the fried calamari were fried to perfection and the buffalo chicken was delicious. It wasn’t that spicy and was tangy. Overall, really enjoyed the place.

We were on the hunt for great seafood and a solid lobster roll when we stumbled upon Boston Sail Loft, and it turned out to be a fantastic find. After a brief wait, we were seated at a table with a beautiful view, which set the tone for the meal. Alex C. took wonderful care of us and made the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming. The mussels and calamari were excellent, and the chowder was rich, comforting, and unforgettable. Dunking the mussels into the buttery broth was pure bliss. The lobster roll was packed with tender, sweet meat and bursting with flavor. An absolutely satisfying seafood dinner from start to finish.

It’s a pretty tight space, and there’s usually a wait, but you expect that of a place that’s good to eat at. Nice views of the harbor, the wait is well organized. We were able to leave and return when they texted that a table was ready. We ordered clam chowder and the sauté seafood portifino… the chowder was good and the cups and bowls were overflowing… the bowl is only $0.75 more than the cup, so that was an easy decision for me. The Seafood Portofino was $40, but it had a lot of seafood for that price… at least 6 lobster claws and at least 3 good sized shrimp and at least 3 good sized scallops… no skimping there. The white wine sauté was pretty heavy on the salt and it actually masked the taste of the seafood slightly, but that’s pretty nitpicky… overall it was great food at a very reasonable price for what we got. Will definitely be back

We were at the aquarium, and I looked for a casual place close by with good reviews. Boston Sail fit that bill. Right from the door, the gentleman who found us a table was very personable; we felt comfortable right away. The servers provided great, quick service, and I had one of the best lobster rolls I’ve ever had. There was so much lobster meat, I’d guess 1/2 pound or more. The cup of clam chowder was a little thick for me and lukewarm. The taste was amazing, though. My wife loved the buffalo shrimp wrap; she said it was great. Both my kids had chicken fingers with a bunch of fries. They were happy and are normally very picky eaters, but they loved these. The view of the harbor is awesome also. Prices are what you’d expect in Boston. I don’t mind paying as long as it’s worth it. The bill with a 20% tip came to $135.10.

Long wait time, no reservations, delicious food. A Boston staple. Onion rings are incredible. Loved the calamari. Lobster roll was hefty for the price. Felt like the prices were very reasonable. Clam chowder was amazing, but definitely felt very heavy.

I was visiting Boston for the first time and wanted to try the infamous Lobster and Oysters, and as usual I turned to Reddit where people were going crazy about this place for its budget friendly seafood. I walked in on a Friday night and luckily got a table, it is recommended to book a spot beforehand. The staff at the entrance was friendly and greeted us like they were welcoming us into their house.
I asked the waitress to help me choose between the Lobster mac and cheese or the Lobster Roll. She recommended to get the roll to get more meat and a distinct flavor of the lobster. The plate costed $40 and was full of lobster meat over a slice of sweet bread and a big bunch of their house fries. I got the hot butter option instead of the cold mayo one, expecting the lobster meat to also be hot and freshly boiled. Apparently that wasn’t the case and just the bread was warm, the lobster meat wasn’t hot enough, it tasted pretty fresh but if it was hot it would have elevated the experience. Overall the plate was a lobster paradise with the meat of an entire big lobster, dipping it in warm melted butter could take you to a higher dimension.
Go to this place with a couple of friends who like seafood, so you can order and taste multiple items.
Additional Tip: The only vegetarian options they have are salads which they can customize as per request, my vegetarian friend had to live off just fries that night!

The service here is definitely top notch. We ordered the trio, and while the presentation was nice, some of the fish tasted a bit tangy or fishy to us. The mussels were okay, though we noticed multiple sand while chewing. Not sure if it was just an unlucky experience or a quality issue. The fries were fine, and the clam chowder was quite good. Overall, the service was excellent, with just a small letdown on a few of the food items.
