I went on a Saturday right when they opened at 11am. It wasn’t busy during this time. This was our first time trying this place and it was great! The restaurant is very spacious with great ventilation for the grills. The service was amazing and since it was our first time trying it our server gave us complimentary side dishes. We ate the unlimited kbbq meat option and the meat was very tasty. Can’t wait to go back!

Come hungry. Large Korean BBQ restaurant. Exceptional wait staff. Many options for beef, pork, chicken, and seafood. The bigger the combination platters the more the options you have. Side dishes are incredible with various dishes including kimchi, tofu, eggs, salads, and many more. All the food was fresh and delicious. We will be back!

We had a delightful experience at 985 Korean Barbeque, where we indulged in the Korean BBQ beef Combo, Beef Tartare, and the satisfying pot noodle 칼국수. The interior atmosphere was both sophisticated and inviting, although it maintained a slightly outdated Golden Corral image and layout. The marinated meats were exceptional in taste, and the service provided was generally good. Our waiter, who hailed from Laos, had a friendly demeanor and even spoke some Korean. However, it would have been beneficial for the waiter to inform us about the specific cuts of meat being served on the grill, allowing us as customers to have a better understanding of each dish. Notably, on the outside window, we noticed a logo with the initials “MjK,” and out of curiosity, we inquired about its meaning to one of the staff members. Unfortunately, they were unaware of its significance. It seems that this restaurant could benefit from additional employee training focused on the finer details of basic customer service. Nevertheless, overall, it was a great dining experience.

The food tasted very good! My only problem is the price, which is $40.99 for all you can eat. I do suggest that however because you can taste some very good meats’ with a varity sides. The nuts tatse amazing! Espically because its dipped in honey!

I have been to a lot of Korean BBQ’s in GA. From Duluth and Swanee to Athens, but this is the BEST one I have been to the food was EXCELLENT, lots of space for big parties we could have Sat 6 at our table. Music was going (K-POP of course) but made the atmosphere all the more better because it was loud enough to enjoy but not so loud you couldn’t talk. Had the Beef and Pork combo($110) for three people and we almost didn’t make it through there was so much. We had to bring the Kimchi Fried Rice home. All the Ban Jan’s (sides)!were awesome tasting and the meat was so tender. A few drinks peach margarita and (2) spiked green teas along with a sweet tea tied it all together and made us Fat, Dumb and Happy. I left a good tip because the service was great, He was constantly on the move, cooked out meat and moved on and kept the drinks filled. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, this is my new favorite for Korean BBQ.

We really enjoyed our dinner, it was very good food. We actually think that they give you a great amount of food in the combos. We are 4 and we got the combo for 2 plus some additional chicken and we ate very well until we felt full. The food is not as spicy hot as other Korean BBQ places so we really appreciated that and the fact that we could eat it almost all because wasn’t too spicy; other BBQ are super hot and can’t eat the whole food; I think this will be our number 1 Korean BBQ from now on. They have a Bar, with cocktails; shots, beer and wine and also draft options. The servers are really attentive, they are always there for you to cook your food and help you get it on the plate. I fully recommended it here.

I was coming in to eat with my family on a whim and we decided on 985 because it was one of the few Korean BBQ in Buford that were actually good. We were greeted by nice hostess and the manager at the front, they were very welcoming and sat us down very quick.
