Had a very good diverse menu and unique drinks. The blackberry mule in the picture was one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. Tacos and burgers were also very delicious and the staff was polite, quick, and kind. I highly recommend 1st & Main.

We went here for brunch, and overall, it was pretty good. We were able to find a seat right away and our server was good. I got the chicken and waffles, and my fiance got an omelet. I don’t think that either of them were anything special. Both tasted okay and looked good, but for the price, we were both just wanting something more. There I’d also a 3% service charge for all card transactions, so be aware of that before you go in. It was good, but I’m not sure if we would go back again for brunch.

Stopped in on our way back home to WI. Everything was exceptional from the staff to the food. If I find myself back in Dubuque I would visit again. The stuffed mushrooms are recommended.

Stopped here during a mini road trip. Sat at the bar and ate dinner. Great beer and cocktail options. They didn’t serve typical bar food even though it was late. Very impressed by the menu and execution. Food came out fast, too. Jake, the bartender, was extremely friendly and helped us narrow down things to do the next time we’d be in the area. Nice little stop on our way home from Chicago

Was there on a slow Sunday morning. First they lost our order., so I had to wait for 30 minutes or so. Did not have lemonade on menu, brought toast as requested took about 10 minutes. Toast had not been buttered, had to ask for butter and jelly.

Food was great! Service was poor, appetizers came out after our food and our server never came back to check on us to see if we wanted or needed anything else, drinks etc. They were not very busy and had plenty of help, so I’m not sure why the service was so lack luster.

Heard a lot about how good the burgers are here. So, I ordered a Wisconsin burger- medium and the curly fries. Food arrived in a reasonable time. Looked good. Then I bit into a dry overcooked burger with a dead bun. Not impressed . Fries were good. (I don’t normally return food) I really wish we would have went elsewhere and cannot recommend this. Hopefully its not typical but nobody in that kitchen should serve a burger in that condition.

Great food, service was a bit slow, but on a Sunday afternoon, they might not have expected it to have been so busy. The server did her best to tend to us. In all fairness, we were a group of 8 with separate checks. We were all pleased and had no complaint.
