This is the second time that we’ve been here and the first time was good so obviously we came back. The reason I’m writing this review now is because of how wonderful they treated us on this particular trip. (wonderfully? Ew, sounds wrong either way. English is rough y’all.) It was raining on this day and we knew that there was a covered outdoor, heated patio at 1882 that we could bring our dogs to. One of our dogs is a service dog and he’s absolutely wonderful around other people and inside of restaurants. We weren’t sure how our other little guy was going to do on his first trip to a restaurant. Long story short, 1882 grille was so wonderful to our pups bringing them bowls of water and plates of whipped cream which they greatly enjoy. Our food was wonderful per usual and we’ll definitely be back again. Here are some pictures of the pups!

1882 Grille is quite an elegant restaurant, complete with a bar. You have the option of dining indoors or on the rooftop. They are known for their excellent steaks. It’s a wonderful spot for a date or to socialize with friends.

We enjoyed a nice lunch at this quiet, rooftop escape. The atmosphere was relaxed and unhurried and the food was delicious. I had a steak bite appetizer and my husband had a burger and fries. His only complaint was that they asked him about the cook of his burger and it was cooked a bit past that. Still juicy and enjoyable though. I had no complaints about mine. The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable and seemed to work well together. My only complaint was that the music volume got to me by the end of the meal. It was a little too loud for me but im really sensitive to sound so im sure it was only me. I would definitely go back here for another comfortable afternoon.

Family environment, great food, great staff, they definitely deserve 5 starts.
I met the manager, Cindy so adorable and friendly. Moe, the owner was also a nice lady that took her time to go to the table and have a nice conversation with us.

11/10 service. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was excellent. We were greeted by the general manager several times with a smile and good conversation without the awkward pressure of most restaurant interactions. Drinks were amazing and we even got to meet the owner who was so kind. I don’t leave reviews often but I could not help myself this time, we will be back and hope you will visit them too.

For a Saturday evening, the rest of the Main Street places were hoppin’, and this place was pretty empty…. but based on the unique menu, we decided to give it a chance. We discovered it was a lunch place that had just started serving dinner.
The service and atmosphere was great. The service staff was open and had suggestions and opinions on everything and felt passionate about the menu.. which was inspiring. It’s a tapas style place, so with that in mind we ordered 6 or 7 dishes (entree-style tapas were entree prices for tapas size ~$25) and ended up not overfilling ourselves and having plenty of room for a couple of desserts which were also small but fabulous. The sticky “pudding” in particular was amazing. All of the food was good to great, but I would not recommend the brussels sprouts, which were too heavy on the cheese. Everything else was great. The steelhead was fabulous and the meatballs were incredible. The cauliflower was great because of its unique ingredients but my bf has simpler tastes, did not appreciate the unique mix of flavors. But we both left feeling like we would go back again.

We had very fresh fish and chips for entree. I though calamari a bit too greasy.

We went there for a low key dinner of an appetizer and entrees. Every food we ordered had blue cheese, and we are not fans. It wasn’t listed on the menu that the salad and sauces came defaulted as blue cheese, and it made me feel picky when I’m normally not. The French Onion grilled cheese came without the bacon I ordered, so overall the service was fantastic but the food didn’t measure up.

Absolutely superior service! We came in tonight for dinner were from out of town almost 5 hours away and I would more then come back to this place! Not only was there service amazing but the friendly atmosphere was top notch! We also Called in for a reservation and the GM asked what my daughter liked to drink and had it personally ready for her when we got there and thr food was AMAZING! 100/10 STRONGLY recommend this place!

A highly recommended dining establishment located in the downtown district of McMinnville. The quality of service and cuisine are consistently exceptional. The bar offers an excellent environment for viewing sports events, with a patio seating arrangement providing excellent views. It is conveniently situated near 3rd street, offering numerous shopping opportunities post-dinner.
