It was amazing food! I had tomahawk pork chop, banana sweet potatoes and tiramisu. Our waiter Austin was excellent and made us feel welcome! He gave us great recommendations on the food choices.

We had an outstanding dining experience at Kinnard & Drake’s 1830 Chophouse. The tomahawk steak for two was exceptional and cooked perfectly, and the banana sweet potato side was a standout. Austin provided excellent service and took great care of us throughout the evening. We will definitely be back!

2/14/2026: The Vogt’s had the best time at Chophouse tonight. The staff and food were amazing and thought Richard and I would share some photos of our night out. We highly recommend this place for any occasion and are looking forward to going back.
UPDATE 1/11/2026: The restaurant made this right and we will definitely go back, probably next week. We really like the atmosphere and appreciate the quick response.
The atmosphere and people were nice. We ordered a prime rib medium, and what we got was a lukewarm prime rib that looked like it was overcooked, then put in a microwave to warm up. I’m not saying that’s what they did, but it’s what it tasted like. The first photo was what was on the website and the dryer out overcooked one is what was served to us. The way we ordered it, it should have looked more like the 1st photo, but was served an lukewarm overcooked prime rib. The cost was over 50 just for the prime rib, and was not good at all. We paid for it anyway and tipped our waitress. We do not recommend.

Shrimp cocktail was great. Wedge salad was really good. Their bread and oil, man, whatever is in that oil is so good. The steak wasn’t super flavorful but cooked nicely. Service was a little slow but it was pretty busy as it was a Friday night.

I had an absolutely fantastic dinner at 1830 Chophouse in Lebanon, IN.
I went for the classic surf and turf (mid-rare, as requested), and it was perfection—tender, juicy steak cooked exactly right with flavorful seafood that complemented it beautifully.
Every bite was amazing!
The salad with balsamic/honey dressing was a highlight—fresh, crisp, and the dressing had that perfect sweet-tangy balance. And don’t get me started on the bread service: warm bread paired with their scratch-made butter? Pure heaven. It set the tone for an exceptional meal.
Huge shoutout to our server, Mathew—he was an absolute gentleman. Attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole experience feel special without being over the top.
If you’re looking for a great steakhouse in the area with high-quality food and excellent service, 1830 Chophouse is a must-try. We’ll definitely be back!

What a great find. Rarely get to Lebanon, but we found ourselves here today at lunchtime. Jack of all trades Josh Barcus took great care of us, fully explained the specials, and made some nice recommendations. The Western burger was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful. The mashed sweet potato side was quite tasty. Both the steak frites and the Caeser salad impressed. Salad was nice, crispy, and fresh. The steak was cooked to perfection as well. The sautéed onions were a great addition. Josh also went out of his way to hand write all the details about the beer that I really enjoyed. I think if I asked, he’d have driven me to Lafayette. Great guy! I threw in the mocha cheesecake at the end. Quite happy!

Took our group here for Valentines Day evening dinner. The atmosphere and service was great; excellent. Downside was the food. The Valentines special entree was listed as a type of lamb and was less than “okay”. Large section of fat ( not much lean meat at all!) and over cooked. My wife and I eat at 1830 frequently and bring friends with us as well. This time our friends were not impressed…the main courses were just not done well at all. Even the steaks were not prepared well… under cooked and over cooked…not as ordered. All other parts were very good (salads & desert). This is one of our favorite restaurants but we were very disappointed with this visit…especially after highly recommending it to our guests.
UPDATE:
I was contact by the restaurant GM who was very polite and apologetic and to discuss the issues, and invite us back. We will not let this one “hiccup” change our opinion of this restaurant and we will certainly be returning. It is still a great place to dine!

My beautiful wife and I came for a date night dinner. The atmosphere is perfect for couples or groups. All of our food was excellent. Great flavors and well presented. We finished off diner with a delicious crème brûlée. Our server Josh Barcus was wonderful and attentive. Thank you for the perfect experience!
