Went for a late lunch about 2.45. Happened to be only ones in there at that time on a Tuesday but we loves it. Nice view. Quaint. Top notch food. Great service. Worth the visit.

I have dined at 1830 Chophouse about 9 times already (and 3 takeout orders). The food is amazing for the price! I haven’t tried anything that I don’t like. The atmosphere is nice, and I love how they have weekly specials and change their vegetable offerings. We had a few issues with two servers before we found our go-to guy. Now we just request him if he’s working.

It was okay. Don’t mind spending a little more than I usually would, because we’re on vacation, but the service kind of ruined the whole experience for us. The restaurant has an amazing atmosphere, the tables aren’t terribly close together, it has character, etc. But our waiter was either overwhelmed or inexperienced (or both.) We felt ignored and forgotten. Since we’re just passing through, we won’t be back, but it was fun walking around after dinner and listening to live music across the street.

Great anniversary dinner. Not too fancy as our kids were able to enjoy and they were very accommodating with the menu to modify for them. Made us feel special. Great bourbon and food!

Had brunch there today with my cousin and everything was absolutely delicious. B&G, French toast, quiche, pastries, fresh fruit, salad, scrambled eggs with cheese……I can’t even list it all but oh my, we’ll be back. Service was exceptional…..nice to have a quality place in our small town.

We ate here a year or two ago and it was a 5-star experience. So when we celebrated birthdays for my brother and sister-in-law last night, we were very disappointed. We arrived at our reservation time of 6PM. The restaurant was nearly empty. But over the next 30 minutes, the restaurant nearly overflowed with people and nearly every table inside, and some outside, were filled. There were only 3 waiters and they were overwhelmed. Our waiter later told us that management had recently fired 2 servers. If true, management should have assumed control of reservations or controlled seating customers. A drink was brought to our table that nobody had ordered; the charge for it was on our bill but was taken off when I pointed it out. Our appetizers appeared after our main course had arrived. They forgot my salad which was ordered as part of a special 3-course meal; they brought a different salad from the menu and a separate charge for it appeared on our bill; it was also removed after I showed it to our waiter. The glass of rose wine my sister-in-law ordered was so dry she found it to be unpleasant. We had to remind our waiter to bring rolls; they also arrived after the main course had been served. My mahi mahi was barely warm, but I didn’t have the heart to tell the waiter. Ultimately this wasn’t the fault of the waitstaff. It would have been better to turn customers away rather than serve a substandard experience. Upon our exit from the restaurant, my brother suggested that next time we’ll meet at Arni’s nearby; we also have liked two Thai restaurants west of Zionsville, a bit further down the road. We won’t return to the 1830 Chophouse.
