Our extended covered outdoor dining space has been very well received during the pandemic. We have taken great care to keep our staff and guests safe and healthy. 1703’s custom catering business serves a much greater area than *27104*, from Virginia to Georgia and many places in-between. This was my first visit to 1703 restaurant, and I was pleasantly surprised. Very nice and quiet quaint space. Excellent service and food. The bread was divine (we ate it all) and very fresh, top quality food. I asked for the dressing on the side and that was missed, but it was the perfect amount, so i was fine with that. Cannot wait to try some other dishes.

Lovely dinner experience on the outdoor patio. Rack of lamb for my friend, pork chop with jalapeño gravy for me. Italian Fling and Saketini cocktails and creme brulee for dessert. An unassuming gem of a restaurant in Buena Vista with lovely food, service and ambiance.

A nice, quaint, smaller restaurant in Winston-salem. The table legs can be a bit annoying but that adds to the essence of an evening meal with the family and friends. Small restaurants SHOULD have quirks and things, a creaky door, a table leg that you straddle lol…and so on. Each time we’ve been the food has was wonderful, the staff helpful and non intrusive (which, I have come to find in the USA is soooo important) and the environment has a nice cost and inclusive feel.

My BLT was outstanding!! It was the highly of the experience. The bread they gave us before brunch was also very good. We didn’t make a reservation cause I couldn’t find a way to do it online. We were the first customers on a Sunday morning and they were able to seat us. The walls are very green. I think the outside looks like the best stop to sit. This is definitely the kind of place with lots of regulars. I’d try it again.

Had an amazing date night with my husband at 1703. I’ve heard great things and had high expectations. My expectations were certainly met. We had a wonderful watermelon and blackened shrimp salad. The snapper was fantastic. The creamed corn with the snapper was so yummy. We tried the berry crisp and chocolate ganache crisp. Both were great. Lovely atmosphere and staff.

Overall not a fan. Small portions, taste was okay, service was mediocre. We generally don’t mind a higher price for good food but in this case, the cost is not justified. A member of our party had a fly in the bottom of their soup and notified our server with no resolution other than “that’s gross”. Their soup stayed on the bill. Others may have better experiences here but we will not be back.

One of my wife and my favorite places to eat in Winston Salem. I’ve never had anything on the menu that wasn’t excellent. The wine list is also great, as is the service and atmosphere. Highly recommended for a nice dinner date.

For the price of fine dining I prefer other option in Winston, Bernardins or Spring House are probably a bit better in my opinion for the same price. Everything was good, I just wasn’t wowed as I hoped to be for this price point.

Amazing service, also would have ordered most of the menu, looks great. The wine list is killer too and all reasonably priced for the quality. Start with the bread and butter, wow, a genuine surprise. The goat cheese bbq brussel sprouts great harmony of a pairing. The wild mushroom risotto hit all the notes, superb! The sea bass was cooked just nice and crispy, yet flaky w/ this lemon sauce succotash. Great execution of the creme brulee, perhaps more vanilla, only selfishly saying cause I want to order again! Great dining experience.
