1700 Steakhouse is very convenient when staying at Hotel Paso del Norte, which is a big plus. Overall, the food was good, but the pricing definitely feels high for what you get.

We started with Caesar salads, which were solid, and appreciated the thoughtful extras like the amuse-bouche and intermezzo between courses — those touches were truly top-notch and elevated the experience. Service throughout the meal was excellent and very polished.

For entrées, we both ordered the 8 oz Filet. One was served with red wine demi and mushrooms, and the other with horseradish and asparagus. The steaks were cooked well and flavorful, though not quite at a level that justified the price point. We also ordered the side marrow, which was enjoyable but again felt expensive for the portion.

Dessert was crème brûlée, which unfortunately missed the mark. The sugar crust was far too thick, and the custard underneath was overly watery, throwing off the balance and texture. We also had Agua de Piedra (both carbonated and non-carbonated) with the meal.

In summary, the food is good and the service and course pacing are excellent, but the cost makes it hard to rate higher. A solid option for convenience and service, especially when staying at the hotel, just pricey for what you get.

Service was slow. Manager was social and service-oriented. I had ribeye and garlic mashed potatoes. The steak was bland. One had porterhouse, truffle mac&cheese and truffle parmesan fries. Sides were delicious, steak was “anh.” Third patron had lobster bisque and garlic mashed potatoes. Food was okay. Overall, great place to try not somewhere I will return as a choice. We waited 15 minutes before we got drink service but its Saturday night so…kinda expected.

Atmosphere is very elegant and elevated.
They don’t enforce a dress code, but for the price you pay it’s worth it to be dressed up.
We were able to make reservations & all you need is at least 3 people in party to arrive to be seated.
We paid $1100 for 6 people & $160 was gratuity included. Individually it was $200-300 Dollars a meal. This included at least 1 alcoholic beverage each person.
The desserts were absolutely amazing.
We had to take desserts home and the staff did not box them which I thought was a disappointment.

In visiting for a family members birthday and we wanted to do something special, and boy we weren’t disappointed! From the food, the atmosphere and the service. Everything was divine! We come back in June and will definitely be back! Much love!!

It was a beautiful experience. Our waiter was terrific. He was attentive and was will to explain everything on the menu. He even got us a glass of champagne and a glass of wine on him cause it was are anniversary. I enjoyed it. One of a kind experience, pricey but its good for celebrating and very romantic! Go early and hang out at the beautiful dome bar. Beautiful antique everything was so elegant.

This is an amazing place for a relaxed intimate dinning experience. The setting and atmosphere is fantastic. The service was attentive and not intrusive. The food options are plentiful and offer something for everyone. Beginning with the palette cleanser to the appetizers to the main dishes and let’s not forget the dessert they were all on point and made for a wonderful experience. The meats here are delicious and the wine menu offered good range in options. I definitely look forward to returning and exploring more menu items.

1700° Steakhouse completely exceeded my expectations! From the moment I walked in, the restaurant felt elegant, upscale, and visually stunning—an unforgettable first-time steakhouse experience.

The food was phenomenal. I had the 8oz arrachera steak, cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The grilled asparagus was perfectly done and paired beautifully with the chimichurri sauce on the side, which added the perfect fresh, herby kick to every bite.

To finish the night, I had the crème brûlée, and it was the perfect ending—rich, creamy, and flawlessly caramelized on top.

This place is a must-visit if you’re looking for an elevated dining experience with incredible food and an elegant atmosphere. I can’t wait to come back and try more!

I was staying at the hotel, so decided to give 1700° a try. I had the short rib, and it was very nice. The potato’s were a bit strong on garlic for my taste, but smooth & creamy. The jus had good depth of flavor, with a nice wine note. Wait staff was attentive, generally on point, and above average (a slight delay with one glass of wine). The atmosphere was beautiful. My reservation was for 6 pm on a Monday evening. When I was seated, the restaurant was pretty empty, by 6:30 it was filling up fast.

It was alright. Waited about 10 minutes when we arrived to be greeted by the hostess. Not even a “hello” or “we’ll be right with you” when we walked up to the stand. They were nice enough for a card that said “Happy Anniversary” and two complementary champagnes. Bread service was okay, but there was an object in my bread roll that looked like burnt plastic or string. I pulled on it and it didn’t break apart. We told the waitress and another lady came to tell me it was a caramelized onion, but I didn’t choose bread with onion on it. Even if it was onion, I don’t think anyone would want to eat something so hard and stale. It was not addressed after she said she’d look into it. We ordered a Wagyu, Ribeye, and lobster bisque. The food was good, but not worth the price. Service was lacking and we waited quite a bit after we were done eating for the waitress to come back and pack up our food. We were unimpressed and decided to cut the dinner short. For spending $250+, choose someplace else.

We had been looking forward to trying this place out for some time now. A friend of mine believes this place to be the best in town.
We were not impressed! The raw oysters were fantastic, but the bone marrow was just OK, the seabass was dry, and the New York Strip and bone in Ribeye were both overcooked.
The service was impressive, and the atmosphere was elegant and comfortable.
