This was a really hidden gem. We went here on a day with a thunderstorm so fortunately we had the place to ourselves. That meant there was plenty of place for the kids to run around and entertain themselves especially with the fish tank.

This Greek restaurant is the real deal! I have to give my compliments to the chef. The food was authentic, delicious and beautifully plated. Our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly, attentive and patient. Make room for dessert; the homemade pastries were top notch. I’ve been to a lot of Greek restaurants and this is in a league of it’s own. Highly recommend and will be returning sooner than later.

I absolutely loved this Greek restaurant! I dined here for the first time on Sunday, and I plan on becoming a regular! They had an extensive menu plus a long list of specials written on a piece of paper which is another plus! There are only two appetizers that I didn’t see that I love to order at Greek restaurants. One was fried goat cheese with fig jam, and the other one is baked feta in phyllo. Please add them! They give you complimentary pita bread with dips here. I’m usually not a pita and dip person, but they turned me into a fan! The pita was very fresh and the dips were delicious especially the feta cheese one! For appetizer I had the fried Saganaki which was so good! For entree I had jumbo pan seared scallops with asparagus, and spinach over orzo in a pesto sauce. I told my server I love sauce, and he told the chef extra sauce for my dish. It was EXCELLENT! The portion was generous and the scallops had lots of Greek flavor! They were seasoned and cooked to perfection! The orzo in pesto sauce was fantastic! When I thought things couldn’t get any better they did! The waiter told me they have cheesecake baklava! Of course I ordered it! It was AMAZING! The cheesecake half tasted like a rich and creamy New York cheesecake. Who knew Greeks can make such a delicious cheesecake! The baklava part was one of the best I ever had! You can’t leave this restaurant without ordering the cheesecake baklava! I also took a dessert to go which was portokalopita. Portokalopita is a very moist cake dipped in orange syrup. It’s delicious! I recommend that one too! My server Niko was the sweetest ever! He took his time explaining the menu, and helping me decide what to order. They serve your Greek classics here plus a wide selection of meats and seafood here. I highly recommend dining at 12 Island Greek Taverna in Stirling! It’s definitely worth the drive too!
