Gave them a try for their fair price and local recommendation. Big mistake! Shrimp was slimy, gummy, and sour flavor. Sweet and sour chicken was so dry that the sauce couldnt fix it. Only thing edible was the egg roll and it was just OK. Threw it all out and wont be back.

Lunch specials 7.95 ea great portion size. Delivered 20m earlier than expected and Very Hot Temperature wise. Pork Fried Rice was the best I’ve had in a long time. Nice big cubed pieces of pork & veggies and it wasn’t Yellow Rice.

The chicken and garlic sauce as well as the general tso chicken was way too spicy. We did not like it at all. The server didn’t ask how spicy we wanted it and the cook just made it from a tier 1 to 10 a number 10 spice amout which basically burned our mouths. Definitely prefer the rice bowl in Clark on Westfield Avenue. At least when you see the spice picture next to the food they do not make it where it’s intolerable. Unfortunately, 1 Walnut’s food was intolerable due to the amount of spice they used.

Pretty terrible Chinese food. Weird dumplings, congealed sauces, bland egg roll, etc etc. Honestly it might be the worst Chinese food in the area. Look elsewhere.

I’m a Filipino and love Asian broccoli. Their food’s great. Unfortunately, a man took my telephone order, one day and upon arrival-refused my American Express payment. When I asked the elderly gentleman and the elderly female why the accept payment logo was posted, they seemed not “to understand.” Of course I get it, cash is best. I looked both of them square in the eye, and let’em know I was displeased- felt they misrepresented themselves. Might be a good idea to telephonically ask up front if they take Amex before continuing to place order, getting in car.

I ordered food for my coworkers, Partials of the food wasn’t good. I completed the order on grub hub. Ivory, the cashier was very nasty when I called in about the order and told me she doesn’t have time and it’s not her problem. My general tso was not good at all, my coworker and I noticed how dry it was . The teriyaki wings were also dry. Not sure why she was rude when I was being nice. She shouldn’t represent the business if she’s going to be so unprofessional. She also used profanity and that was a shock as well. She said it was my problem not hers.

1 Walnut is our go-to. Very speedy service, reliable, and yummy food. I enjoy their lunch specials. They offer a huge portion that I can actually eat it over two days. Their dumplings are incredible, very flavorful without being heavy. And the dipping sauce to pair is one of the best things they make.
