Stopped on our way through town, and glad we did! Great BBQ! Try the Brisket Burrito or sandwich with coleslaw on it! You wont be sorry, said he smokes it for 20 hours and it shows. Chicken sandwich is excellent to, very tender! Owners are very friendly and gracious people! Picnic table out front you can enjoy your food at. Super convenient to grab when you are gassing up, right around the corner from the Almo gas station.

Good fast and tasty, easy to get and get going. The burrito was just right, not too much sauce. Maybe an offering of a bit of slaw would taste better than the bit of cheese? Just a foodie thought, let me know what you think. I really appreciate you being there when we had become well and completely tired of other road food and cafe boredom.

This Barbecue spot is the best spot in Carrizozo. They have a great menu to choose from. I ordered a brisket burrito and brisket breakfast burrito. I recommend them both. Dan and Jennifer Franklin are great and friendly people. Delicious and ready for on the go or to sit and enjoy. They are right off the main road, easy on and off. Gas station close by. They even have a picnic table to sit and enjoy your food. So need time you are in the area. Don’t forget to stop by to see Dan and Jennifer and enjoy some of the very Delicious BBQ!!!

After driving through carrizozo over 100+ times on my way to texas, I decided to stop in and try it. The brisket burrito was some of the best bbq I’ve ever had, and I live in Texas so that’s says a lot. The sauce was outstanding as well as the potato salad. It was very unique with chunks of smoked brisket inside, needless to say I will be coming back!

Very good. Came here in a recommendation from the three rivers petroglyph hosts and I had a Brisket Burrito which was one of the best briskets I have ever had (and I have had many) The owners told me their story on how they came here and I was impressed. I will be back !
