Coffee and pastries were super yummy. The cronuts was one of the best. I felt bad for the employee, he was making drinks and managing the till all while dealing with a line to the door the whole time. 5 stars to the employee.

We started going to Zuri because the coffee is excellent & they make a perfect Flat White. Then one day I noticed the apple strudel, and bought a slice. It’s the most authentic strudel I have ever found, outside of Germany/Switz/Austria. So good! Today we ordered the steak sandwich, and I can’t believe I missed out on their food for so long! Everything is house made, fresh & delicious. We will now have to find excuses to head over to Truckee more often for coffee, pastries & lunch, or maybe that’s a good enough reason all by itself!

Zuri Coffee Bar is easily the best coffee spot in Truckee.
We’ve visited several coffee shops in the area, but nothing else comes close. The food is next-level—the panini was perfectly pressed with crisp, golden bread, and the Linzer tart was truly incredible (seriously, don’t skip it). Prices are super reasonable, and to top it all off, the staff is genuinely lovely and so appreciative. Warm atmosphere, fantastic food, and kind people—Zuri checks every box.

Pretty store ambiance but water downed coffee and dry pastries. Try something else.

HUGE fan of this cute little place. They’re small but mighty!

My friend and I went to co-work from there, and while the coffee was awesome (I got a nitro cold brew and DEFINITELY got my money’s worth of caffeine), the baked goods are authentic, adorable, and all made in house! We got a spinach artichoke puff, an apple strudel with housemade whipped cream, a snowball cookie, and a peanut butter cookie with a kiss on top.

I would recommend this place to literally everyone. It’s good for working, hanging, you can chat up the owner Warner if he’s here or stare at the gorgeous mural depicting their move from Switzerland to the Washoe Watershed <3

Quintessential Mountain town Cafe.
Decent coffee and delicious food.
I indulged with a chocolate chip pumpkin muffin, an Everything Bagel with Egg and Cheese and the amazing Avocado Toast.
The muffin was moist, soft and perfectly sweet. The chocolate dark, the pumpkin fresh and the powdered sugar dusting gave it just the right amount of flavorful combinations.
The Egg and Cheese Bagel was also moist and tasty. The cheese was full bodied and the egg rich.
Finally, the Toast. Worth the recommendation. Perfect sum of buttery toast, fresh Avocado , mashed, soft feta cheese, arugula and ripe tomatoes. Some salt topped it all off.
Mouthwatering.

The Cafe itself is vibrant yet small. Steam punk ambiance and a lovely mural. The small room makes it a little noisy with crowd.

The staff was curt yet helpful. Like the recommendation for the Toast.
Definitely a loyal local base of customers that they knew by name.

The sandwich we got was great, but that was the end of the good experience. It took three tries for them to make a vanilla London fog and still get it wrong. The first time, it was just plain tea. Second time, they poured a little bit of steamed milk on top of the tea from the first one and forgot the vanilla. By the third time, they just dumped some vanilla in the cup and it still did not taste good. A london fog isn’t just tea with a splash of milk, but after three tries that’s what we got and it was clear they weren’t interested in making it correctly. We also ordered a ham and cheese croissant warmed up. They handed us a soggy room temperature croissant, with the cheese still cold and hard in the middle. Overall bad experience, not worth $30.

Good place to stop to/from Tahoe or Truckee area. Their pastry cabinet had some gems in it, though I wasn’t looking for any baked goods. I had a double espresso and took a flat white for the road. Ambience is really nice in this small cafe. Good seating and decor, and the barista was nice

For full disclosure: The owner, Werner and I have an ongoing business relationship. This review is as free of bias as it can possibly be.

I really love this place. I’ve been coming since before meeting Werner, and it’s always been leagues above any other coffee spot in town. The staff is always friendly, and from a simple bagel and cream cheese to a sandwich, it’s all tasted great! The coffee is very flavorful, and a simple shot of their house espresso is one of my favorite orders!

A few things I really recommend are the Zuri Club, the cinnamon twist pastry, the pizza turnover, and the mocha!
