Welcome to Falafel Bar Buffalo, the heart of Levantine cooking in Western New York. Founded by Israeli chef-owner Oded Rauvenpoor, our restaurant has been a staple in the community for over two decades, serving fresh, craveable dishes that celebrate the rich flavors of Middle Eastern cuisine. Now located just two blocks from Millersport Highway on Sheridan, we continue to evolve while honoring the culinary traditions that inspired us.

This restaurant has such delicious food. I had the burning eggplant for a starter. It was a smoked eggplant with pine nuts, garlic, lemon and raw tahini. It was a really good, unique taste and big! It came with pita bread on the side. I also ordered the lamb burger. It was so good. I had baklava to go because I was stuffed. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a small and cozy place.

I recently had a meal at the Falafel Bar on 12/02/25. I chose the Chicken Baharat Pita after looking over the excellent menu. The food tasted great and was very filling. The place was clean and cozy and not busy during lunch time. I spoke with the owner/ chef and we had an interesting friendly talk. I would go back again.

Tried some food I never had before and it was delicious! Went to lunch with a friend. Great atmosphere and staff was friendly and helpful with picking choices! Plenty to take home too for a whole other meal! Prices average with today’s standard, clean and very enjoyable!

From the appetizer of fresh tomatoes and feta exploding with flavor to the delicious salad and falafel platter, everything was amazing. The little pinwheel croutons were a nice touch, the lamb was great. Highly recommend if you are a fan of fresh and flavorful Middle Eastern food.

This place is pretty damn close to perfect! Went after reading a post that they had vegan options. To my surprise a lot of the dishes can easily be modified to vegan. We had the Maza plate which is a beautiful, and filling, sampler platter as well as the fried cauliflower which was so light and not greasy and finally of course falafel. I have eaten a lot falafel in my life but none compared to this. It was so moist and flavorful. The big kicker was that they have a vegan dessert, rice pudding! It is a VERY healthy portion and absolutely delicious. To top everything off the atmosphere is quant and warm with service to match. This place has something for everyone!

This is one of my favorite places to dine with my daughter. We always get the Brik as our appetizer. It’s a delicious North African potato pastry topped with a fresh avacado salsa. We literally smile every time we get it! We just order one and split it. My go-to menu item is the Souvlaki Wrap with Chicken. It’s perfect. I have also enjoyed the Shawarma Wrap. More recently, I tried the Grilled Romaine Salad with Avocado, Pine Nuts, Goat Cheese & Lemon Vinaigrette. Another winner. It was a lot of salad for one person, though, so we decided that we would split it next time and then order the appetizers that we’ve had our eyes on but haven’t tried yet. For dessert, we like to order the Baklava to go. It is excellent. And honey, please do get yourself a slice of the Baklava Cheesecake!! It is a slice of heavenly goodness.

The chicken souvlaki wrap was good but I would rather the chicken cut up instead of being in huge chunks. Spankopita was good but burnt. Not a fan of either of the rices. The caramel baklava cheesecake was great!

I had Souvlaki Platter take out. Really generous portion !! I could barely finish it (and I eat a lot!) Salad was awesome. Brown Rice was well seasoned. The meat was… not my cup of tea. A bit bland and taste-less for my liking – but it is personally preference. Nothing more.
