The definition of “Comfort Food” — Creative, Huge, and Delicious!
We absolutely love Zuppaman in Sandusky, and if you are a fan of unique sandwiches, you have to try this place. While the outside isn’t really anything to look at the menu is! We ordered a few different items (see photos), and every single one was a masterpiece of toasted bread and creative fillings.
The Highlights:
• The “Sketti” Sandwich: I never thought I needed spaghetti inside a grilled cheese until I tried this. It is exactly what it looks like—pasta and rich tomato sauce sandwiched between perfectly toasted, garlic-buttered bread. It sounds crazy, but the crunch of the bread mixed with the tender pasta is an incredible texture combination.
• The Roast Beef Melt (Shroom-a-Zoom): This was hands down one of the best melts I’ve ever had. It wasn’t just thrown together; the roast beef was tender and piled high, and the creamy sauce mixed with the caramelized onions and mushrooms was pure savory perfection. It’s messy in the best way possible.
• The Mac & Cheese Sandwich: Another absolute showstopper. They literally put creamy, cheesy mac n’ cheese right on top of the meat inside the sandwich. It is indulgent, cheesy, and incredibly filling.
The Verdict:
Zuppaman doesn’t skimp on portions. The bread is toasted to a perfect golden brown (that crunch!), and the ingredients taste fresh and high-quality. It’s the perfect spot if you are hungry and want something way better than a standard deli sub.

Definition of a hole in the wall joint. Great folks behind the counter. Not much space to eat in but portions are big and the sandwiches are generously made with love. The only tiny complaint would be excessive onions in the vegetable soup but it could have been a bad luck of the scoop.

Stopped in today after visiting CP yesterday and had the best experience. Staff was super friendly and gave me some great recommendations and made me possibly the best veggie sandwich I have ever had. Great vegan and vegetarian options and plenty of meat options for my boyfriend. I was so impressed with all the options and everything was super fresh and delicious. The foccacia bread we got was also great. We both loved our lunch and will be back next time we are in the area. I highly recommend Zuppaman!

I’ve been waiting to try this place, and I’m glad I did! Most places I eat, it’s my wife and myself. We ordered the same thing and have very different opinions on it.
We both ordered the Nashville hot chicken wrap. I absolutely loved it. The heat was great, and the mac and cheese was cheesy and creamy. The pickles added a little acidity to cool down the wrap. I would eat this wrap again any day!! My wife, on the other hand, was about 4 bites into it, and it was way too hot for her. She stopped eating it after that. She also told me she didn’t like the noodles for the mac and cheese. So different people, different views.
I’m a lobster bisque fan, so I ordered a cup of that as well. It was good but different. It’s a roasted red pepper lobster bisque. It says spicy on the menu, but I didn’t think it was. I’m glad I tried it. It had a very unique flavor. For me, the peppers just took over the flavor too much. It’s still a good soup, though.
The service was great, the staff was very friendly. It’s a small place with a few tables to sit and eat. I wish there would have been fountain drinks instead of cans, and that’s my biggest downfall of the place.
I would definitely go back again. Their menu is full of different sandwiches. I can’t wait to try a few more. So if you are in the area, give the place a shot. If you like a little heat, go with the Nashville hot chicken. It’s amazing!

Let me share my experience real quick ! I use to love this place always giving them business as of today they no longer have a customer with me I Called to place a order the woman gets on the phone saying shes out of beef (no problem ) I’ll just make a substitute , I continue on to say my order but the manager got on the phone with a nasty attitude saying she doesn’t know who’s selling me 2 HALF sandwhiches on The pick 2 combo (which is on The menu ) but she doesn’t allow that! Fine& Dandy but you should specify that on the menu ! exspecially if I ordered a pick 2 the other day (same exact sandwhichs & a blueberry pie cupcake ) and it was never a problem nor did they mention that they would no longer be honoring the menu they created ! I couldn’t even finish my sentence before this woman gave the worst attitude very rudely hung up ! Now I’m very saddened to have to part ways with patronizing this business because the food is actually really good ! but the hospitality and bad business has steered me away I will not be back good food should come with hospitality and they should honor the menu they put out !

Go-to hot sandwich shop in Sandusky. Very filling and delicious menu also have soups. The brownies and cakes are just okay but not bad. You can get it to go (especially down to the water for a date) or sit inside. Love it.

Awesome sandwich and flatbread shop. All the employees and owners are super nice and willing to customize anything. Many gluten free and vegetarian options available, absolutely delicious flavors of sauces and spreads! Plenty of parking available and they do take out as well so you can call and order ahead. I am very impressed with the options available! Highly recommended!
