As a tradition during our journeys, we choose an Indian restaurant to eat at dinner.

This time, for Vienna, we choose Zum Moghulhof and we absolutely did not regret it!

Staff was so welcoming and available to reply to any request we made, delicious food was served in traditional dishes and the restaurant was so cozy and in old Indian style

Prices are fair compared to other restaurants and to the dishes sizes and quality.

We totally recommend to dine here

Great food and super kind staff 🙂
We tried the butter chicken and the chicken tikka masala which were both good and there was also paneer naan which I don’t usually see anywhere so that was unique!

The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming. We had an amazing dining experience, enjoying a delightful mixed rind(was too salty) , chicken ,vegetable, and rice dish, along with a flavorful vegetarian samusa and a comforting soup. The outdoor seating area is quiet and highly recommendable, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing meal.

I highly recommend this restaurant. I ordered lamb shahi korma and I had it before in another nice Indian restaurant and this one also met my expectations. Also nice vibe and staff and fair price.

The interior décor is nice, but the waiters seem completely lifeless. They bring the menu and just stare blankly — no explanation, no guidance, even though the dish names are difficult to understand. When the food arrived, there was absolutely no garnish on the side, just so you know. On top of that, the dishes were lukewarm, definitely not hot, which made me question their freshness. This might be the worst Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to.

We loved it! Everyone was so nice and they also speak very good English. The food tasted amazing, tea was also very good. We shared the butter chicken and it was enough for two people. The whole thing felt like an amazing experience. 10/10 recommend!

Zum Mogulhof offers an enchanting dining experience that transports you to the heart of India. The cozy ambiance, accentuated by furniture reminiscent of old Indian legends, sets the perfect stage for an unforgettable culinary journey.

Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by the staff, who had meticulously prepared our reserved table just as we had requested.

I ordered the tomato soup. While it was a bit on the heavier side, the rich and flavorful taste made it a delicious beginning to our meal. The Chicken Masala was perfectly cooked, with tender pieces of chicken enveloped in a robust and aromatic sauce. Paired with the soft, freshly baked Nan bread, it was a match made in culinary heaven.

In Vienna, they are the best and the oldest ones! 37 years old restaurant which was actually recommended by amour taxi driver! And definitely very authentic Indian restaurant where spices and herbs are not compromised and the chillies can be adjusted according to your taste! The service is super smooth and very nice! Very warm and welcoming people! We ordered maharani dal, malai kofta, butter chicken, aloo naan, rice and everything was perfect. There quantity is enough to serve two people, in fact it was three of us who literally over ate. Very much centrally located and easy to find. The ambience is gorgeous and the food is worth the price. For tea lovers this is your spot for good chai !!! And spicy lassi was also good just was missing some salt but then that was personal taste (try it though :))
