Decided to find a great meal for Thanksgiving and looked up Schnitzels near where I live. I had been to Opa which is also good. The place was very good, I did takeaway. Meal size was huge enough for two servings, the soup was great and cake was worth the calories in this day and age. The lady who took my order was extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful.

This authentic German restaurant is one of those hidden gems that you rarely find anymore, but I am so glad I did. The food is amazing; delicious and portions are good. The service is second to none. Carmen made us feel like we were eating dinner in her home, probably the best server I have met in a long time. And oh my gosh the desserts! Freshly made cakes were on the menu when we were there, the black forest cake was ridiculously good. Usually I don’t eat desserts when the meal is so great that I finish my plate, but I made an exception for this.

Please support this beautiful local eatery, places like this aren’t found that often.

Really enjoyed the sampler plate. Was a good choice. Hard to find good German food, so this was a welcome change . Service was excellent and they make an awesome raspberry filled cake. Slice was more than enough for 3/4 people

Upon entering the waitress was very friendly. Although I could not pronounce most of anything on the menu items she took time and patiently explained the menu and the meals that they serve. She also took time and had me venture off to new flavors and tastes of that culture. Great food, nice atmosphere, and clean. If you want the best German food. Just show up and the server would be more than happy to explain to you. This place has genuine hospitality and excellent food and awesome desert as well.

Been looking for a new place and decided to try something new. I am so glad I did!!! Carmen was an absolute doll and gave me a recommendation for their cake, meringue cream (picture) and I’m so glad I listened! It is super refreshing and perfect after the Jagerschnitzel.
If you are looking for a new German restaurant COME HERE!!!

Very good food and huge portions. The schnitzel was so big and really delicious. My wife got the cabbage salad as a side and it reminded me of what my grandma used to make. Very nostalgic feeling having food I haven’t had in a long time. The tea was fantastic and the dessert was scrumptious. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive. Loved the decor. Reminded me a lot of my childhood. Will definitely be going back again

After 7 Month travelling Canada,Alaska and US we are looking for some spots which look and taste a little bit like home.

It’s easy to overlook the Edelweiss Restaurant, cause the entrance is in the corner – but it’s absolutely worth to take a closer look.

We had a warm welcome, quick figured out that our root are in the same area of Germany – Riedstadt says hellt to Bingen 🙂

We hadn’t any Schnitzel for a long time, and to be honest… It’s a different kind of Schnitzel here in US,but I like it more then the most German Schnitzel…
To make it short:
1*Jägerschnitzel, Spätzle, Sauerkraut
1* Raumschnitzel, cucumber salad , Potatosalad

It was excellent, and for Germans it’s a huge portion.

Tomorrow I’m serving Lunch with SchnitzelBrötchen 🙂

And don’t forget to taste the Cakes… Homemade and delicious.
We shared one slice of Schwarzwälder and one Mandarin.not for Dessert, but for the 5 o’clock tea…
Yummi!

Thank you for the nice chat, the tasty food and the recommended Bakery.

All the best,
Gerry,Dunja and Rote Lola

The food is really good, and the atmosphere feels very authentic, akin to an “Old World” type of feeling. Their cakes are also wonderful, I would recommend the mandarin cream cake. I wish I could give this restaurant five stars, but unfortunately I did not receive the best service. It was my first time and the waitress (I’m assuming the owner?) expected me to already know how everything works, I was clueless in which she responded harshly by stating something such as “I don’t have time for this” and walked off without looking back. She would respond rudely whenever I asked questions or was confused because she wasn’t explaining anything until I called her out over her attitude. Now, I understand you were extremely busy and all, but that is still no way to treat customers, I felt like a huge burden this entire time and it really ruined my experience. The restaurant has good food but the owner is a poor representation with her childish behavior.

The food was not good at all. Everything was bland and dry. Potato salad was cold instead of warm and the spatzle was just awful. Service was fine, atmosphere was meh. Location is pitiful. We almost didn’t go in because of that alone. Should have followed our first instinct.
